Christ has died, Christ is risen, and Christ will come again. The infancy narratives made it clear about this king, this person. You are to call him Jesus. The Coming Messiah. Jesus will be the Savior. Jesus saves. God saves. Immanuel means God with us. The prophets and the people of the Bible call him “Kristos” or Christ because he is anointed. But Jesus is explicitly telling Pilate, “I am a King”. I am Christ, but I am also a King. This came out from his conversation with Pilate, he says that you are a King. You say I was a king, for this I was born into the world and I came to the world to testify you to the throne. For this reason, I came as a king, for this I was born. For this purpose, I have come. He was going to come to this world as a king. He was born and made true. The infancy narratives made clear about this person. He will come as a king. For this, he came to the world to test. He will fulfill his purpose of being a king not only before but even now. His kingdom full of love and sense for all of us. He will not celebrate Christ the King without acknowledging how he was true. How he was faithful as king. Obviously, we would not celebrate Christ the King without acknowledging how he was true and faithful as king. How he was true and faithful in life. We have been praising God because he was a good and true king to us. He has been faithful to the many purposes by being good, patience and a provident king to all of us. Then and today, heaven and earth will continue to praise God because of his endless love for all of us. As we reap the fruits of this past liturgical year. He is king so that he can live with all for his heart. And all for the best of us. It is also a good reminder for all of us as we reap the fruits of this past. He is not a king to harm us. He did not become king to ruin us. He was also not a king to leave. But came as king so that he can do his purpose in life. To save us, to serve us, to offer what is best for us, and to bless us in our lives. Christ’s death is an inspiration for us in our lives for those who follow him. He embraced the purpose of being king to love and take care of us. It is a call for us to hide the reasons and the purposes why we are born in this world. If Jesus knew very well his purpose. He knew also hopefully why they are here. Why they are born on their birthday. Yes, to be a king, to achieve something in life, to be the best in life. To be at rank with everyone. To be number one. To be good, to be the best, to be excellent. But we let these experiences be ways on how can we love everyone more and more. Our beloved brothers and sisters, for Jesus, king is not only a name. He became king for a colorful life and to be for all of us. He was no king that will harm us. He was no king that will forget us. But he was king and he is always king. So that he can be faithful to his why, to his reason, to his purpose in this life. To save us, to love us, to give us all the best blessings and to give his life as the best blessing for all of us. I throw this mission to all of us. Know your purpose, know your reason why we are all alive. And as you find that purpose, make that purpose reasonable and fruitful by serving others and making your lives and their lives a concrete sign of God’s blessings and love.
