Depends on the engine. (We're talking about the Amtraks right? The MN horns are sweet) The Amtrak Genies in this video have good horns. Some others have really bad ones.

Yeah, you may have been "fine" but for a few of those, you were literally 2-3 feet from the train ... in an engineers mind, when you're doing 50mph and you have someone close, it's gonna have you paranoid.
