Your Vmax came out awesome. I remember black as the popular color.😊
@timcarson8146Ай бұрын
Thanks David. Yes, the black was almost the "default color" back then. Even most of the box art on the various kits is black. I think there was an awesome maroon as well.

Sweet bike! Dig the story about roasting the rear tire. Have a great week!

Thanks Don. My buddy got really excited watching that video in the shop. Thankfully he also stayed away from a Vmax, but it was (and still is) a cool bike. You have a great week as well!

Key. 🤣🤣🤣 Helga was, of course , very excited to see Key. This is an awesome looking bike!! Great build. Love the color. I was told the 2025 motorcycle group build would be racing bikes. An nsr 500 would be great for that 🤔. Maybe I’ll have to go shopping. Have a great week!

Thanks Kyle (and Helga!). Hmmm...might need to get in on that group build for sure. Have a great week as well!

Thanks Marcelo. They are something different for sure. And really they are pretty reasonably priced and have a lot of variation available.

Thanks Paul! I picked up a few more older street bikes for Black Friday, so there may be another one in the near future. :)

Sweet bike! I definitely don't have the skills or patience for a motorcycle I don't think 😂

LOL! I dunno Joe, I am certain you have the skills. And who knows...you might surprise yourself. Give it a shot man! Thanks for watching.

Very nice build Tim. I've never built a bike. Maybe in 2025.

Thanks Mike. I have a few street bikes on order (yay for Black Friday), so 2025 might see another from me as well!

Thanks Terry. I remember looking at them back when they came out (1985) and thinking "If I buy one of these I will die". Now I have the smaller (safer) version.
@Terry-390Ай бұрын
@@timcarson8146 I have the safer one too. the one that doesn't run. lol

That is very nice man! Are they more difficult than a car kit like a tamiya level?
@timcarson8146Ай бұрын
Thanks! I found it very similar to what I remember my Tamiya bike build was (many many years ago). The biggest issue was the tubing, and for me that was mainly because the points where the tubes attached were not always big enough to really get a good grip. But I think maybe that was also because the tubing was maybe not as flexible as I think it could have been. I would definitely suggest picking one up and giving it a try.
