Wow Daniel, it is a good day for flying! I like your nice, large and clear flyin area. The second toss was pretty high! That glider has a very smooth flying ability and it is very light, as I see. Fantastic!

Yep this thing launches to 40 m with nearly no effort. If I put some power into it it’ll go 50+ meters. But I’ve found it’s not necessary. Starting at about 40m with a nice easy launch is better practice

@@banko444 Awesome Daniel! Yes, this is where the weight-to-stiffness ratio can be important. If the glider is light and stiff enough, the height of almost 30m is a perfect starting point. But if the machine is heavier, then hopefully it is also more massive and then you have to start higher. My white 1.5 doesn't have a high starting height either (approx. 20-25m), but it catches thermals from lower levels more easily.

Thanks Kirk! 😎. Got away on the next launch after the camera was off to about 800ft. Cuban 8s to come down. The best flights are always the ones right after filming. Lol.

Nice job Banko. Is there a technique to throwing the glider? Seemed to get a lot more air than I'd expect. Only plane I have is the horizon hobby duet, but can not fly above any wind conditions over 5 mph. What is ideal wind conditions for gliders?

Yes. There is def a way to launch correctly. A molded ship like this will be able to fly in a good amount of wind if set up Properly. Balance as well as proper use of ballast make that possible. Not much wind going on in this video though.
