People don't understand what addictions are like. You never stop and think about how crazy it is, you're just driven by the excitement and don't look back. It literally changes your brain chemistry the same way drugs do, so once it's latched on to you, it can't just be shaken off when you think "wait, this is dangerous, I better stop". The brain is so powerful it terrifies me, it really does. You may think you have control over many things in your life, not just addictions, but sometimes you don't.
@coolbrett8 жыл бұрын
+mksrookies I've been told that before, but they also tell me that it's hard to reach that stage because your brain is so used to doing the opposite. It's like going from overweight to a marathon runner. It can be done, but it's soooooo difficult. But you're right, once you finally work hard and get used to it, it becomes a regular routine. Just like marathon runners. They can do them much more often because they've trained themselves to do it.

@mksrookies - Then why don't you teach it how to write a coherent reply where you don't come off sounding like an ignorant moron?

Don't forget - the government will allow any kind of business to exist as long as it meets two critieria: 1) It doesn't kill people 2) It makes them a lot of money Beyond that they just debate the issues ad infinitum while raking in billions.

When will the biology of addiction be taught in school so that young people are aware of just what will happen and why people get hooked on drugs, gambling etc

Let's comment on this idiot, not his wife. You don't know what it feels like to have your life crash down around you when you have not a thing to do with it. Poor woman, however i'm sure she feels much better, even if she doesn't have much, she has piece of mind. Good on her.

Gambling is not about winning it's about the risk you take to lose or win and the feeling you get when you max bet and hold your fucking breath hoping for the best..big rush when it pays off.. bigger rush just doing it..regardless of results

it only takes one big win to lose it all.

You need to speak to someone about this. It's not fun, but it needs to be done. Telling my family that I had a gambling problem was the best decision I have ever made. I haven't touched any gambling sites since then. You can do the same.

That’s where it starts but it quickly becomes something else. You’ll win 500 and leave with zero or leave with 500 and come back the next day and give it back. I would rather be an alcoholic. 😩

@biggawinnacrapsa38705 жыл бұрын
Well, you have to give up Blackjack first thing. Who would ever be foolish enough to play a game where you can have the winning hand and end up losing? (hitting a hard 12 and busting, then the dealer turns over a 2 under his King). Yeah, stick to Baccarat, you'll win next time for sure, I can FEEL it.
