I always find it astonishing that you can get so much done on a Sunday. Here in France all the shops are closed and there’s not much to do except going on walks or staying in.

Dreaming of the future and longing for the past doesn’t make for a happy life. Life is about noticing the here now and that can be as simple as relaxing into a tv show without feeling bad about it. Planning too much, lists and setting goals can mean we miss the whole thing. There’s beauty in the nothingness, in the here now.

I agree, but I think the quote was saying that too… cherish the time you have. That moment. It struck a cord with me. In fact so much so, that I sent a screen grab video of it to my grown up ‘children’.

Maddie! If you use a wax pencil, you can write the date you cooked the food on the lid of those glass containers with the snap lids. And it washes off pretty easily. It. Changed. My. Life! Thanks for all you do!

It's interesting to see how other people manage themselves. Personally, I do 'chores' (meal plan, weekly shop, cleaning the bathroom, etc) Mon to Fri and treat the weekend as pure leisure and lazing time.

Great video as always! 😊 When I have a lazy Sunday and don't prepare for the week, I always feel anxious on Mondays and generally I'm such a mess.. it's definitely worth it to spend a few hours organising the week. Also, I used to hate meal prepping, but now it's just part of my weekend routine and I love it, less stress during the week, less food waste and healthier eating!

Idea for your fridge as you said you want everything in it to be visible: you can buy these lazy Susan type things that are like little turntables and you put them in the fridge with all your jars and things on them so you don’t have to rummage around finding things, you can just rotate it and see everything. It’s a GAME CHANGER! I’ve also been using them for bottles of oil, vinegar, soy sauce, and in my shelves in the kitchen.

Really enjoying watching you again - made me smile at start re Roxie when you called for her using ...'Treat' - I have a Yorkshire Terrier & she will react to her name but not always - I use Treats or Lets get ready - haha. you & Alex are so good with her. Its good you show that things don't always go to plan - I like that about you - its as it should be - we can all relate to that & its life isn't it. I would like to add you mentioned Kay off 'Living the Life' You Love' recently - she is a favourite of mine - I really like her too - I thought that was really kind & thoughtful of you as a fellow KZbinr. (She is also planning her wedding this year). Do you & Alex plan to put a brief Vlog together for your KZbin followers, just summarising your Wedding Day at all ? (I know a wedding is a private occasion - but it would be so nice. Lily Pebbles did a vlog & it just captured her day so well - was so nice of her to share & acknowledge her followers I thought). You both must be so excited now with arranging your wedding - you look so happy ! - its so nice to see ! - It may seem overwhelming planning everything but it will all come together you'll see ....x :)

We share a note for our shopping list on our iPhones, then whoever is shopping knows they can't duplicate buying anything - it works brilliantly for us! We both add items to the list when we use them up through the week, or if there's something we need for a new recipe we'd like to try, so it's always up to date, too. xx

Hi Maddie-fun vlog! Inspiring re: fitness and cleaning out that fridge; the planning review/reset is also so helpful. Tip for you-hang a whiteboard inside a cupboard door. Note leftover food dates/opened dates for condiments. Saves waste. We use masking tape & a permanent marker & date tons of food. Not as sustainable but saves food waste & my husband has a digestive condition so he's super careful. Thanks again for a great video!

P.s. what helps me with being productive but not putting too much on my list is to deligate my tasks to others in my household (like u said about giving outdoor task to alex). I found this so helpful and puts it off my shoulders knowing i can rely on others :)

What about uploading on Tuesdays and Fridays? This way you have Monday to ease into the week and to work out any last minute hiccups and also so you’re not working on the weekend. You guys need rest too and deserve to off days off as well. You have to take care of yourself first sometimes and that includes having a work life balance.
