Hey Kelly for the toys and dolls in the bathtub, there’s a mesh bag with suction cups made for bath toys I believe Walmart sells it. Also the stuffed animal mesh hanger it’s made for the corner of the wall if you get suction cups for that I bet it would work just as well in the tub. Since your dining room is so large and was actually family room, I would use it for both. Move your table closer to the kitchen, thrift 2 big comfy chairs , pillows throws and maybe a rug and face them toward the fireplace and then put another tv over your fireplace. On the big wall you need a big dining buffet with bottom and top with open shelves for display. Put some pretty long drapes on your slider door, get rid of the vertical blinds, just some of my ideas to make your room comfy!

I was thinking the exact same thing! Two comfy chairs by the fireplace would be so pretty & cozy! A smaller tv over the fireplace is a good idea. You could watch it while cooking.

Hey Kelly! You have gotten some great ideas. I would paint the fireplace a neutral color like a Taupe or in that paint family as it will go with your Black and White colors and still be cohesive as well. Kelly, I buy a large container of bug spray at Walmart come Spring. It comes with a separate sprayer.I spray inside my home, all around my baseboards, in my closets, under my kitchen sink, around going out my doors and my garage. I never see any bugs! It's a lot cheaper than an exterminator. Also, after I clean my toilets I put a few drops of Pine Sol in my toilet and my bathroom smells so fresh! Just a suggestion. Thanks for another motivational video! I agree with you that your dining area needs some color but wonder if you could add some color through a pretty wall paper on the walls, especially the wall with the fireplace? It would make it pop and you could leave the fireplace white. Wall paper is really on trend right now. And if you find one that has the pretty green in it that you’ve used in the other rooms, it will make your decor flow I think if you paint your white chairs then they will always scratch off but maybe not. I also agree with the viewer that your green pillows pick up the green in the school room and look intentional. Love your resets! 🦋

For my 4 year old granddaughter’s bath toys I recently bought a mesh laundry bag from Walmart for less than $2 and put it on a suction cup hook to store her bath toys . I put the hook at the opposite end from the shower so it would not get shampoo & bodywash on the toys.

We have a tension rod up over our bathtub that has baskets attached to it to hold our loofah's, body wash, etc. That may be an option across the kids tub so that will hold toys and allow them to drain!

The cabinet you have that the plastic covering is peeling, if you take a hot blow dryer then you can peel it off then paint what’s underneath. I saw another you tuber do it. It turned out great.

🦋Your home is coming along so beautifully and I enjoy seeing your style evolving. I no longer use Pine Sol😢 because it is toxic to my dogs- even with a rinse, the vet does not recommend it, so I use my homemade citrus vinegar cleaner for everything now and it works just fine. When my children were your children’s ages, we had a pick up routine (we homeschooled), where after lunch they helped to clean up after they ate and put away their morning text books and paper, any toys or other books they had pulled out during breaks, then it was quiet time; then after dinner, they helped clean up in the kitchen then showered or bathed and after that they again had to clean up any toys they had out either in the school room, living room or their bedrooms if they wanted to watch a movie or have me read to them. As they got to about 4+ years they were taught that if they loved a toy(s) or book(s) and they didn’t put them away when it was time, then if I picked it up, it went in a black trash bag and into the garage- we would tell them that if they didn’t take care of the clothes/books/toys they had, it signaled us they didn’t want them and it would get donated after 2 weeks if mom had to keep picking up after them; if they were consistent with picking up, they would suddenly see the toy or book or clothing back in their room as acknowledgement of their hard work. Notice I said acknowledgement not “reward”, we would tell them that if they wanted any items back, they had to show us how serious they were by completing their assigned chores in a timely manner- acknowledgement shows we are paying attention and notice their changed behavior and for us “reward” was like buying good behavior and it was usually temporary. We made efforts to teach them to value what they had or they would not have it any longer or not get anything new if they had no respect for old and new.

I wash our sheets on the weekend. Sometimes both beds (ours & 13 year old son) get done same day, but it’s usually our bedding one day and his the next. I also find it easier to clean the shower while I’m in it. 😁 🦋

You mentioned that you want to make your fire place be vocal point. Instead of doing the whole fireplace, maybe paint just the mantel to match you dining room table top. It would tie them together and add a color of pot to the mantel.

One of the best way to teach kids not to make messes and just walk away is to hold them accountable and make them help clean it up. Plus, leaving Play Doh in reach of your dogs could end up with a visit to your vet. Never know what they might eat. 🦋🦋

I change my sheets once a week and once a month, I will vacuum, steam and spray an allergy spray on my mattress. And I wash the pillow covers and mattress cover. When my kids lived at home, they would strip the bed and put fresh sheets on. Not sure if they do that at their homes, but I hope so! 😂 I can’t stand cleaning the bathrooms! Ugh! But it has to get done! I put pine sole in a spray bottle with a little bit of water and spray it on my outside furniture. I was happy to see your bigger dog you adopted. Amazon has lots of bathtub storage baskets, hanging net bags, etc. So many to choose from. I love watching your cleaning videos. It really motivates me to do the same. I too, love the green couch pillows. They look really nice.

Perhaps you could just use a regular dish drain rack that's for the kitchen sink to put the bath toys in each night. School will be out soon (unless you do year-round school) and you can go thrifting more. I enjoy it so much, even if I don't buy anything. Love your videos.🦋
