Beautiful John! Have you explored the enjoying 2nd mode of Harmonic Major for the D half in the melody? A fairly bright half dim sound - allowing for a natural 13 and a natural 9 (1,b3,11,b5,b7 remain the same). Great videos and explanations as always! Thanks for doing this!

Mixing together the 2nd mode of that scale with the 6th mode of the melodic minor produce some nice half diminished colors, as I’m sure you know. Trust that you and Jennifer are well.
