Enjoy your String A Longs every Sunday. Really impressed with your thumb picking technique. I have a guitar playing friend (Alan "Syms" Wishard) who lives in Waynesboro PA. He is 82 & has playing for over 60 years but has lost his desire to play due to some early dementia issues. Please pray for him. He has never been a religious person but he needs to find the Lord. I have been praying for a miracle for him so that he can regain his desire and ability to play guitar and sing every day.

Brother Doyle, we thank our LORD Jesus Christ for your faith first and your talent second. I love your fingerstyle and fingerpicking techniques but ESPECIALLY when you play Hymns for Him & His Church at large. Thank you for that rendition of "Jericho" - BEAUTIFUL brother!!! Also, I never thought of Joshua as Israel's "Pastor" until you mentioned it, but you're absolutely right! Especially when "the LORD exalted Joshua in the sight of all Israel; so they revered him, just as they had revered Moses all the days of his life," (Josh 4:14). I wanted to make one other observation about Rahab's incredible God-given faith from the text you read from in 2:8-11. What I find fascinating about her faith is that the incident she was referring to, regarding what they had "heard how the LORD dried up the water of the Red Sea before (them) when (they) came out of Egypt,...(2:10)" What's incredible about it is that THAT RESCUE from Egypt happened 40+ years earlier! WAY BEFORE she was visited by the 2 spies. She must have been a little girl or not even born when she began hearing of God's amazing rescue of His people Israel from Egypt. AND YET THEY WERE STILL TALKING ABOUT IT 40+ yrs later! THAT'S WHY their hearts melted within them! AMAZING what the fear of God can do to people's hearts - either melt them to believe in the Merciful & Living God or melt them to dread the Righteous & Holy Judge of all flesh! AMAZING GRACE, HOW SWEET THE SOUND, THAT SAVED A WRETCH (WORM) LIKE ME!

I haven’t seen all 100, but the Sunday String-alongs I have seen have been fabulous. BTW, for some reason, when you were playing the Jericho epic I kept hearing the lyrics from an old cereal commercial: “Can’t get enough of that Sugar Crisp, Sugar Crisp, Sugar Crisp.” Of course, no one in the music or advertising businesses would ever borrow a tune from someone else. 😊

Hello again Doyle! Hello from France. We just moved to France, and I haven’t had time or energy due to jet lag to watch this, your 100th show until now. We have bought a house here, and put all our eggs in one basket so to speak. We are supposed to sign for it Thursday. We visited it yesterday, and there were quite a few things we were disappointed with, but since this now is our only residence we have to accept it and make any changes or repairs ourselves. Not a horrible thing, just hard work. We also found out that our household goods are still in longbeach in storage due to a shortage of cargo containers, so we won’t see them till November or December unless God does a miracle and puts us at the head of the line. We felt discouragement come in like a flood for an hour or so.. I kicked it out, Mari is still struggling with it and already missing her family. HOWEVER, yes your show today was much about what is happening in Israel, but watching it at 4am France time put faith in my heart, and a prayer that People would feel the powerful presence of God when I played my music at any venue… none lined up yet of course as we have yet to move into the house and get settled. I have had a desire to play my guitar in the ancient churches in each village in France for several years, not knowing why. This is not the reason we moved to France. We moved to retire, and have been here many times, and loved the country and its people, and will use the house as a base to drive throughout Europe as part of our retirement. But this odd desire to play in these ancient churches, and yes even in pubs if asked is still there. I believe it is the Lord moving me in this directions. Many many things have had to line up for us to even move here. I don’t know what will happen next. Of course we can’t have guests until we have furniture.. but you and your wife are always welcome to come and rest (as soon as we have a bed in the guest room lol…). But thank you for your show today. It was Spirit led and the music and your words were just what I needed to hear, building my faith and lifting my spirits. I brought my nylon string guitar on the plane but as I write this I realize that my best guitar is in storage with the rest of our household goods along with my amp and all my effects, so I will be playing aunatural for the next few months. Ugh! Do you know people anyone in France that could loan me some gear til mine arrives? I suppose I don’t need that really. Just me and my guitar, and my obedience to the voice of the Lord when He calls…. Thanks again for your show. We must be obedient to His Will to receive the blessing. Am Israel Chai! Secondly, congratulations for this splendid Tele. My '74 ash and maple neck Strat would be proper mate for it. But no more electric guitars for me, from now on I want only the gas-powered ones. Ha! Your brother knows how to bring the imp out of you by this challenge to recount of the story of Jericho. Hey Doyle, I heard you say "if you have a CD player" on one of your shows. I have pastored for 28 years and we are just making the swing to USB Jump Drives for messages. They slide out of a plastic card about the size of a credit card. Preprinted and preloaded. They are less than the cost of CDs. They look and work great. If you are interested send me a PO Box # and I will send you what I am using for messages and a friend's album along with the website info where to buy them. I am not selling them I just thought they might be productive for you, your albums and ministry.

How do you resolve these seemingly incongruous results? Every day for 10 years you prayed for Israel, but now at least hundreds are already dead from terrorist attacks. If the death and suffering brought upon Israelis was just God’s will, despite your prayers, why would you continue praying for something other than God’s will? I imagine some terrorists embarking on these missions prayed to their “God,” or whatever power they believe in, to make them successful and it would appear their prayers were answered. I imagine you continue praying daily for Israel - perhaps praying even harder (is that even possible?) - but, what now are your expectations of God in this regard? Trying to understand.

You must first understand Christ's suffering. Jesus prayed to the Father, but he was still crucified. However, he arose from the dead ! By the shedding of his blood we believe unto salvation and eternity with God. God's will is going to happen in Israel and that has included the loss of life, my prayer is that the suffering cause's others to believe and be saved. Hope this helps. Eternity with God is the ultimate goal......

I can't answer for Mr. Dykes but I know why I pray for them. We as Christians were given biblical instructions to pray for the peace of Israel. Prayer can sometimes change the will of God.(This could have happened much sooner). I just know I care deeply for the Israeli people. They have been hated by so many. If all the prayers save one soul from eternity in Hell, it is worth it all.Death is not the end for the Christian . @@guermeisterdoodlebug7980
