Doyle, you brought me to tears playing "Amazing Grace/ What a friend we have in Jesus." My father fought in World War II, came home and then to earn extra money joined the reserves. They were called up for the Korean War. He was killed in November 1951. My mother raised three of us on a farm in West Virginia. TO this day, I don't know how we made it, but we did. So many have sacrificed for this country. Democracy isn't to be taken lightly.

My band “Kudzu Ceilidh”, including members of the Southern Gospel group, New Salem, had the privilege of playing for a festival/pig roast honoring military veterans yesterday. We even had a WW II veteran! We played most of the numbers you shared this morning. What a joy! 🇱🇷🇱🇷🇱🇷

Of course, the String-Along is a high-point of my week, brother. Always blessed. The Liberty Tree guitar is gorgeous. Looks and sounds good, but would be worth having if only to look at! What a blessing, and yes, I am just a little envious. I conducted a Memorial Day service yesterday (Memorial Day), and used my Taylor 314ce. Even though it is a little overdue for a string change, it still delivered. Love my Taylors and love the Sunday String-Along. Bless you, my brother and thank you for honoring our nation's fallen. My old friend, Eric Horner, who you might know, he used to be Lee Greenwood's band leader, great singer, musician, song-writer, has such a wonderful ministry now honoring our military. I haven't had a chance to work with him for several years now, but he writes some awesome songs honoring our armed forces. I appreciate everyone who has a heart for our military. Love you, my brother and pray God's continued blessing upon you and yours.

Thank you for your faithful, dedicated, true service with your heart of God's love and light. Don't stop. We need what God is giving us through your life and ministry. Hebrews 6:10 says it best... about what you "do". Another wonderful, godly SSAL. Thank you God. Thank you DD. Not to diminish in any way all those who have and do serve to keep us safe and free... The Greatest Hero of all time was and remains... you know who. Like you I didn't serve in the military but... I've been diligently serving in the Lord's Army for 50+ years, like you. And for all those years I've been continually (MWM) Ministering With Music, like you, with guitar and God inspired songs. I'll never stop singing for the Lord. Like you. We're like siamese twin brothers in the lord. But you still have hair. And I'm sure you have more guitars than I do. I'm down to 20. My dad was a medic at D-Day in WW2. I inherited his DNA and pure, giving, heart of love and service. He was not a believer, but he oozed love and service. I needed and searched for an outlet for my giant heart of love (which I inherited). I went to Woodstock looking for peace. But, it wasn't until I heard God's word in 1971 that I found truth. I have learned what I didn't know at the time... what really happened is I answered God's call. Your life and SSAL is literally Proverbs 27:17 to me. Iron sharpening iron. I'm commenting here to reciprocate. What a great life we have. We are really helping those in need and hurting, lost and seeking. We are showing people how to receive their personal life's dream. God has entrusted us and given us the ability to fulfill the ministry of reconciliation. Love Joy and Peace always in all ways in all your life. Always grateful thankful and blessed every day forever. I'm looking forward to being in The Happy Angel Band with you for all eternity... praising God and blessing the saints. I love you with all that I have... I faithfully pray for you and Rita and your entire earthly family. I really do feel like we're family. Spirit is thicker than blood. I love you. I'm with you. I admit, I choked up a bit when you brought out the Liberty Tree Taylor guitar along with your "Resurrection Guitar" to honor our LORD and those who purchased our freedom. A lot of heart went into the building of those two instruments and it was fitting that you would honor the fallen through their voices. Reading the promises of Psalm 91 today in remembrance of their sacrifices while thanking the LORD for his sacrifice. Please pray for the peace of Jerusalem and for those lost since October 6th. Your allies also appreciate the help you have given to preserve our freedom in 2 world wars. That was way before me but I know my dad appreciated it. He landed on D-Day plus 2. He only over saw one German and he was a prisoner and that was because of the sacrifices made on those beaches by British, Canadians and other allies but mainly young men with little or know battle experience from across the United States, country boys, city slickers and sailors from the coastal towns and cities.

Actually I made a mistake. My dad landed in +5 not +2. Things were definitely calmer by then. My served in British Palestine at the end of WW2 before the state of Israel came into existence. In the 1990s. I visited a military base which was originally built by the British. When next saw by dad, I started to describe it to him. He took over the narrative. I had been standing on the beach next to the base in exactly the same spot where my dad had gone for a lunchtime swim and smoke 50 years before!

I’d like to dedicate your songs & service today, Doyle, to my now deceased Vietnam Vet husband, who may not have died on the battlefield, but passed earlier than expected from the wounds he received & suffered with. Despite the physical & emotional setbacks from that war, Jim lived a shortened but good life devoted to his family & country, a responsible hardworking man full of fun & life, loved by many. About three days ago I felt a presence of prayer that was directly or indirectly addressed to me, either as an individual, or maybe it was as part of a group. Wherever it came from it was accompanied by an intellectual break-through during a discussion I was having back and forth with someone who replied to a comment I made on a KZbin video regarding early scripture manuscripts. I won't go into detail, but it involved an attitude when communing in prayer, and as soon as I made the thought and reached out I felt a wave of love come to me, some as if it came via people on earth, but came through them nit from them. For a moment I felt others praying for me and a movement of spirit just waiting for me to open to it by submission. I mention this only because I felt as if listening to your posts had something to do with it. Thank you again for your kind replies to some of my messages.

Thank you for this Memorial themed program. Meaningful to me as like many Americans, I have an ancestor who shed his blood and gave his life to establish our great country. In memory of his sacrifice (my 6th Great Grandfather a Private in the Continental Army who perished in 1777 in PA). I appreciate your patriotic music. So nice about your Guild being returned back to you - that is an important guitar of yours with you having had it as a teen. His back was hurting him badly this evening. I'm worried that may set off the tumor or something in his cancer. Please say an extra prayer for him today. I get that. How would you say it then? I want to be respectful. We do honor them with prayers and also remember their ultimate sacrifice. The “pursuit of happiness” is something that this country is based on. Without the sacrifices of others we Definitely wouldn’t have much to celebrate. Especially when it comes to freedom and living peacefully. Jesus is the greatest example of that. We definitely do not mean to celebrate the sacrifices or deaths of others but we do celebrate our freedom and give thanks for those who have made it possible. Thank you so much for your service. I do think it’s a shameful that so many people don’t really even know what Memorial Day is all about.

For my style of playing… The Taylor DDSM encompasses most everything I like. It would also be compared to the 000 Martin… Also, I love the SJ style body on the Olson.
