Your hair is beyond gorgeous. Buying all those expensive products could make you feel like you're taking better care of yourself but I do believe it would only maaaaaaybe make your hair marginally healthier and that's not even a given. They say never change a routine that works and yours is doing absolute wonders to your hair. Your hair is not something you should worry about so use all that free headspace to worry about something else lmao Edit : I posted this comment before I'd finished the vlog so I hadn't seen the part where you actually talk about your routine. Oops. I'll still leave it here lol Oh and btw could you do a shopping haul? I'd love to see a local market from your region and compare products/prices.

I know I'm late to the party, but maybe it would be best to treat grapefruit like we treat key limes in key lime pie- by adding sweetened condensed milk? Key limes carry that same sweet-bitterness in my opinion. Love your videos & recipes! 💗

I did make them with sweetened condensed milk, thanks though! I think the main issue was just a bit too much grapefruit juice relative to the other ingredients, just too overwhelming. Half of that amount is enough!

This is probably not the place to ask about chocolate chip cookie bars, but, it's probably not exactly the wrong place either. Anyhoo, in your recipe when you say 3/4 cup brown sugar, is that packed? Or sort of loose? I made your bars and while they were delicious, not very sweet. I can't decide if that's bc I'm American and I'm used to desserts being overly sweet or if it's because I didn't do it correctly.

Honestly I don't personally measure in cups very often, but I'd say lightly packed if that makes sense? Like not a dense cake of brown sugar but not just a sprinkle either! Though you may be right, they aren't particularly sugary/sweet compared to other recipes.

Hi Maverick! I love getting a peek into lives so I love KZbin and love food and randomly stumbled upon your channel (or not so random-thanks algorithm hah). Would like to share my story as I moved to France, Bordeaux 3,5 years ago. I am dutch raised in the Netherlands though my mom's argentinian and raised us bilingually. I moved to Glasgow to study for my master in law after which I lived in Germany (not my country) and then back in the Netherlands. I went to Bordeaux during a sabbatical to improve my very basic french and met my now boyfriend. I moved back to the Netherlands for a shitty job and then after a year ish decided to move to Bordeaux and see what the odds were.. nothing to lose. So that's what I did and being a lawyer,(who likes it hahaha although it REALLY depends what kind of company/Field) in a small town as Bordeaux with limited jobs, not having studied french law, as a miracle I found a job that I hated and was very bad at at a debt recovery company but it introduced me into french law and more importantly I underwent french brainwashing. And became more or less fluent within a year. Many evening was spent crying. ...then I left this job after a year and found myself again very stressed. i talked with a french job coach forming part of the governmental support for jobless and gave myself time. And I found the job I have today that I absolutely love , at a modern company in Paris so i work remote which I love too, it's complicated challenging and rewarding - ie the best job I ever had. And... In France... As a non french lawyer (but we're international so who cares + legal systems are not very original anyway). As in the odds were not necessarily very good on paper.. but life works out in my experience if we're willing to give the odds a chance even if it takes us through some unexpected turns. I was not necessarily confident, we thought about moving to Paris or even out of France. But i just kept trying to see what would happen. And today we dream of living near amazing nature maybe Switzerland or closer to home. Even though we're not at all there yet and concrete circumstances are not in our favor. Life is so full there's so many possibilities. I think it's always worth it to try to find what we love never limit ourselves in the sense only accepting the status quo. Step by step and listening to our dreams I think much more is possible than we ever thought. Voilà :)
