Totally agree with you, I'm 40yo and now I regret that negative or critical comments about any style that I wanted to experience when I was younger affected me ,young fellas, believe in yourself and if any bad comments or hate entered into one ear let it come out immediately from the other one, and keep it up experimenting all kind of styles that you like

Love this man. Great way to put it. It’s definitely gotta come out the other ear so you can keep progressing and not dwell on it. Wise words 🙌🏾

This was so very spot on a good thing to put out there. I have a few "friends" who constantly criticize my dreams and plans. Sometimes it really hurts, but I've learned to look at it like "They are just coming at it from their own limited view of possibilities of life. It's best to like you said let them step on their way. We just must be who we are with fierce passion. Either the world will catch up or it won't. 😏

YeZzir ! Always important to route for you and if others wanna join the ride then they can feel free. Long as you know yourself all that you wanna do will get done, regardless of what others say. Keep going

Really loved the insight Greg. I’ve faced countless criticisms, long stares, “what are you wearing?”’s and at the end of the day that comment, question, or stare was but a blink in time that had no effect on my passion and freedom of expression. Kid Cudi said it best, “I'll be up-up and away, up-up and away 'Cause they gon' judge me anyway, so, whatever I'll be up-up and away, up-up and away 'Cause in the end, they'll judge me anyway, so, whateverrrr”

GREAT ADVICE! You really do have to be your own best friend and trust yourself then the confidence and everything else will fall into place. Life is tough so doing the things that bring happiness and joy are key. Regardless if it's fashion, cooking, exercising, etc.

love your vlogs Greg, I’ll be going to the same world gym you go to soon, I hope to bump into you there one day. Man, when I wear my tabis, (all white with a big heel), it gets very mixed reactions. Where I was before, a rougher part in Toronto, I dealt with people pulling out their phones and recording me- all types of weird stuff. it’s all about perspective though. what’s the alternative? dress incredibly bland in hopes to blend in everyone? as creatives, we were made to be unique, and you are going to ruffle some feathers when you bet on yourself, and be you. the only thing that matters in this world is what you think of yourself. boos don’t block dunks. those on the sidelines don’t control the game. magnificent video brother, wishing you tremendous blessings.

I asked a few women lately about a Ralph Lauren cardigan. I got a few negative responses telling me not to buy it and how I'd look like a "sailor" lol. It made me second guess my style a bit, because I love cardigans, but I'm taking your advice and sticking true to myself.

Most definitely it’s best to not even acknowledge those comments and keep it pushin, it’s usually my parent who make funny comments but now they actually ask me if they’re outfits look good on a specific day and also if a brand of a product they got their eye on is good 😂

Appreciate these topics of conversation! when ppl have negative comments about u, usually it’s their own insecurities they’re projecting… You have to alway be the first person to champion urself before anyone understands your vision, & if u stay true to urself they’ll have no choice but to respect it! I’ve always gotten positive & at times awkward steers👀 about pieces I’ve worn ie “weird” Boots , Jackets , jewelry etc. & my sense of style has always been different from most & It’s done purposely! You’ll find that a lot of ppl dnt have passion for developing their own personal sense of style… they’ll rather wear what’s familiar to others they’re around just to fit in!

Wow! I’m loving y’alls perspectives right now. This is spot on once again. It may be uncomfortable at times, when people stare at you etc but definitely couldn’t agree with you more. Just have to shrug it off and keep wearing whatever you feel the most comfortable in. I’m rooting for you for sure 🙌🏾, cheers

Don't care about negative comments Whatever you do, haters gonna hate. You don't have to care about them, even talk about them in a video.
@gregntore2 жыл бұрын
Disagree about you ain’t gotta talk about it. You most definitely can. It’s great to acknowledge the positive and negative. Just not dwell on the latter but it’s important to Discuss it.

@@gregntore OK If you say so On my opinion, you do an amazing job. I m watching your video from Paris and I love them. Social media are the biggest place for haters on any sense Do your thing bro, because you do that very well and don't waste your time about negative opinion if they don't help you to grow your business. Mean people do mean things So, that s my opinion

Yep, bought a Sarah Pacini wool coat w a shawl collar - got a lot of weird looks . Even in Mtl. You have consider that if people feel it’s necessary to try and bring you down that they likely are pathetic and fearful. It’s better to be a peacock than a pigeon

I try to understand whats good critique that helps and whats just toxic critique. It helps to give importance only to the right opinions. Any opinions motivated by personal feelings and interests are discarded.

I don’t understand what people mean saying “it’s done” (like a beanie), if that’s someone’s “lifestyle”, how can that be “done”? Me personally like to wear vintage/distressed/washed stuff, some people tell me that I looks like a hobo/homeless/ something like this, just without any reason, but any of that critics ain’t hit me absolutely, as long as I feel myself self-sufficient mostly nothing can hit me. (IMHO)
