Very sad indeed. I wish he were still here with us. Sad to hear his relocating from his LA home due to the fires contributed to his death. He loved his coffee and cigarettes. Nobody will live forever but the smoking probably did him in more than anything. I know he was diagnosed with emphysema and COPD. RIP to a legend.

I haven't listened to this in a very long time, but had to come back. At the time this came out, I was suicidal for nearly half my life. Barely getting better. The lyrics are all too real, and it wrecked me. Still difficult even though I'm better. I said something like maybe I'll have a good day or I need a good day, every day a lot to try and get me by. Thank you for singing my pain Mr. Lynch, rest in peace.

Listening to this song again after David passed away, this almost brings me to tears, it feels like someone really depressed wanting to feel happy (i want to have a good day today) and fighting trough life even with almost no force or motivation, tired of all the darkness within, waiting for somebody to save me deep down but i know no one will or can do that, maybe thats because i totally identify with that, thanks for this and for all, RIP David Lynch.
