Hi Sarthak, I am from Manipur. I grew up in the valley in the 90s and early 2000s. I am very thankful to you and your team for actually going there and trying to show something that has been missing in the headlines. Let me remind you that this is the so-called 'double engine government.' We can't boast of being the largest democratic country while letting something like this happen in our own nation. If we had more seats in the parliament like UP, Rajasthan, or MP, this would not have happened. The PM has had time to fly and visit Europe, North America, and other remaining states during this 12-month period, but he hasn't visited the state. I have a lot of friends who are Kukis, Meiteis,Nagas in the state and a conflict of this caliber has never occurred in the whole existence of Manipur. I wish the election ends soon and then the media shifts the attention to our home state!

High Court Manipur 's recommendation to review the ST demand of the Meiteis is often highlighted at the reason for the violence. Its only asking the State Govt to review and do the needful, not necessarily grant the ST status. It doesn't have the authority to do it. When we talk of Meiteis, we are projected as majority. But in reality we are talking of a miniscule 0.00001 percent of the country's population, whose existence is threatened without any constitutional safeguard. Kukis apprehension of Meiteis taking up all the jobs is laughable considering all the top posts in the State Govt are hold by Kukis. A transparent NRC will laid bare that all these year of influx from the across the border, have shifted the demographic picture.

being an IDP myself,i cannot thank you enough for showing the ground reality on both sides,since I'm a graduate i was fortunate enough to find a job after fleeing from Manipur and start a somewhat new life but it pains me to think of all the people living in relief camps and their situations. The terrors that each one of us faced,the helplessness we faced and how miserable we felt unsure if we would live to see another day or not. Its already been a year but it still haunts me and i cannot even fathom what has happened in this one year,families are separated, some dead,some in relief camps yet no solution to this never ending misery.

Hi Sarthak … I’m from Manipur but I dnt belong to Meitei nor the Kuki community. However this war is hampering our lives to nearly bringing us 10 yrs back in economy alone. If so how much more for the two communities in clashes. Yet the central govt is in total silence making the world thinks Manipur’s back to normalcy. If this is being perceived normal I don’t know what Not Normal is. However thank you for bringing it to light through your channel. I pray your hardwork never goes in vain. After seeing the three video we can say that what is shown in the news and what is real is alot different. It like a "A reel life and real life". Everyone has forgotten this and the leader are saying everything is OK but not everything is OK. And if it continue it is not far that people will start living their lives like that and would think that is what it is.
