Since the v4 is hard to bottom out. It causes the rool to rip along the dust cap on every day use. Never had that problem with the v3 just the dimples like you said and the bottoming out

How much power would you need in order to get the max performance? I know it says 1000 rms but sundown really under rates their subs.

I watched your U 6.5 video where you explain sub-box-cabin and I've designed/tuned 100s of enclosures but know nothing about matching cabin frequency or figuring out cabin frequency or anything cabin related. I been looking at either going with v3 or v4 subs. Or was also looking at the sa v3 or U8. Do you think the x8 v3 and v4 sound good as well and not jus on the lows, I like those 40hz and up frequency as well that hard hitting bass. I guess I like 33hz on up nothing below 33hz. I'm doing 3 ported under my seat you think 3 of the x8 will sound jus as good and hit those higher frequency jus as good as the sa and U series?

Xv4 sounds better imo with less mechanical noise or about the same free air. Idk what the date on the z8 is

I been debating on which 3 8s to run. Thought about 3 U8s but think Ima go with the X8s. I can get the x8 v3 8s or the v4 8s. You think the v4 sound that much better then the v3 and is output roughly the same?

@@johnnypiper1717 the v4 made a big difference compared to the v3. They don’t bottom out and the sound is slightly cleaner. If possible get the subs 4ohm and wire each one to 2 ohm. Make sure you have the correct wiring and amp. I have the JL audio HD1200/1 running full power to 1 8xv4

​@SLIMS619 cool well I planned on running 3 so if I got the 4ohm subs that would be like a 2.6 ohm load or 1.333 with the 2ohm subs. You think it would be that much of a difference between the 4ohm v4 or 2ohm? I was looking for 3 8s that could handle close to 1000 rms which haven't seen too many was also looking at maybe running 3 b2 rampage v2 8s
