I love these, where you start at something simple and build on it.

I've been trying to learn guitar for a long time now (I suck) and I've watched a ton of KZbin videos by guitarists giving lessons. There are teachers who are good, but every so often I run into someone who has perfect timing when they strum. You have that, and I love listening to you play. This one especially since Sundown is one of my favorite songs. Thank you. Subscribed.

Thanks David, this is the way I’ve always like learning song, get the feel of a song first then work on the details!👍

Soulful song...can't wait to learn it. Great teaching, Dave! Bar chords & partial bars have always been my nemesis. I've got to fight through. It's holding me back.

Very happy to have found your channel and videos! Started watching some of the videos you have on Jam Play and then wandered over her to check out some of your KZbin videos. Your teaching style is so relaxed, thorough and very easy to follow. Thank you for sharing your enthusiasm for music!

Hello Dave, great lesson! Rest in peace, Gordon Lightfoot… The Canadian troubadour. ❤️🩹.This lesson helps so much, thank you! Dave, do you have a lesson on if you could read my Mind? There are some great lessons out there, but I’d love to see you, break it down like this… As usual Gordon is capo’d to the second fret in that song as well.

Sundown Rest in peace comes easy rolling off the lips One forgetful random thought cast out to the myst Just a teardrop would suffice water just for now gentle rain drops on the grave to freshen up the flowers Kiss your hand to sundown Blow a kiss for free There beside the crashing waves by the dashing sea Sundown was a backdoor man bent on breaking homes leaving Gordon wounded then so broken and alone Say a prayer for minstrels Say a rosary Let's play for him our finest derg our final symphony One day we will find him there with his guitar singing out his sweetest song upon the final hour.

The terrible news. Gordon Lightfoot died May !st. Would you teach one of his great fingerpicking songs as a tribute?

I don't know, I think he talks to much( confuses the cord progression) What I want is the cords let me figure out the rest.
