I did the same to my ride the Ground on all cars/trucks/suv's are trash and we spend a lot of money on these cars to have trash ass grounding wires man :D LOLOL XS Power batts for the win all day long one of the best of the best batts on the market to date............... I use a tap screws to make my holes in a safe place where this nothing but sheet metal.........

If anyone was wondering the fire hazard when connecting an unfused lead from the alternator to battery +, if you get into an unfortunate accident that hits the alternator or wire run, the wire sheath might rip, then hit the chassis (or any grounded metal part) and because the alternator is putting out 70-130+ amperage, it will create an extremely violent spark that would [hopefully not] ignite a punctured fuel or oil line and boom goes the vehicle while you're in it. So an inline fuse or fuse block will essentially blow the fuse which cuts off the voltage in an instant before that violent spark is created because of the ground out shortage, or an impact short in the wire... In theory. And funny enough, I run an upgraded wire from the alternator to battery without a fuse. Time to adjust my life insurance plan.

I know sundown was discussing having Drew Jones at Bassahaulic do all their recommended box specs/designs. Might hit him up for a design if you're having trouble getting the design right.
