wow really half the cost of a solar cell is from the tiny amount of silver. might really be able to make competitive solar cells in Australia what is the power about of your panel
@sundrivesolar2 жыл бұрын
Yes. Of all the industrial applications that use silver, the silver used in solar cells (or panels) makes up the largest proportional cost of the final product. Solar cells (or panels) are also the fastest growing application/product that uses silver. Based on the current growth rate of solar, silver usage will be unsustainable. As for panel power, it really depends on how big the panel is (and how many cells are inside), what is more meaningful is panel efficiency. SunDrive plans to bring to market the most efficient commercially available solar panel worldwide.

Congratulations Sundrive, and Vince Allen. Wonderful breakthrough to be able to replace silver with copper, AND produce a panel that is more efficient. To be operating in the Sutherland Shire with a potential of producing a competitive product to China is amazing. Where can we learn more?

Congratulations! Once again, Australian talent goes in the lead! I'm so glad you chose this arra for your PhD! I will keep my fingers crossed that our dumb government doesn't throw spanners in the works as before.... Also glad you have Mike Cannon- Brooks on your side. The opportunity for thousands of local jobs should make our government take an interest, shouldn't it? Looking forward to being able to buy SunDrive panels soon!
