Not only just because they are beautiful but also to maintain the balance in the eco system we should save Tigers. A Single Tiger can save atleast 25 acres of forest land as I live in india i know about tigers and people around here. In India people never dare to cut down trees in forest within 25 kms of Tiger's territory so in this manner Tigers save lot of forest land and maintain ecological balance. If we lose Tigers then other species show thier dominance on forests and destroy them thus the climate changes and our future generations won't even live for 30 years.

I never handled a cub before, but even I would know to grab the back of the head from the beginning. You wasted way too much time, trying to talk into the camera, instead of actually trying to free that cub. I just couldn't understand the waste of time. It just seems this really was all about you, rather than the cub. Cubs are afraid, and would've immediately run away from you, once freed. He/she wouldn't have mauled you, as you so put. It was nice of you to assist that cub, but this video seems a bit overly dramatic.

He had a large interest in presenting a story. As it was, the tiger was freed and we got a hell of a dramatic story of the ferocious capacity of these little felines.

This isn't saving wild tigers from what's pushing their species to extinction, this is helping one tiger cub kept in what amounts to a huge enclosure well outside of their natural range for tourism and publicity. There's plenty of wild Bengal tigers in India that need the help the resources he's poured into this publicity stunt could use, a quick look on wikipedia will show you there's some controversy about how wild and independent these tigers are and a quick comparison of the terrain and vegetation in tiger canyon to Ranthambor ( one of the drier and less heavily covered tiger reserves makes it clear that the local was chosen for ease of filming ( tigers in dense forest are notoriously hard to film compared to lions in the open savanna ) instead of suitability to the animal. If you want to learn about wild tigers, learn about those that are truly wild and in their natural habitat in Asia.
