this type of guitar, where you play rythym and melody, like a piano, is one of the most incredibly talented things ever. More difficult than piano because of limited reach and awkwardness, very rare and very powerful.
@XRadioactiveCheeseX10 жыл бұрын
Well no thats just not true 100% of classical guitar is played this way so obviously its not rare, aswell as it is incorrect to say one instrument is more difficult than another.
@MelancholyProducer10 жыл бұрын
it's called flamenco. A style I couldn't ever get good at. I was a very talented metal guitarist, but I couldn't do this. Certain people are predisposed to be able to play certain ways. I need a pick.
@MCGSBro10 жыл бұрын
Melancholy I believe the technique is called "Travis picking" or "Ragtime Picking"
@chrishall259410 жыл бұрын
XRadioactiveCheeseX no classical and flamenco guitar are not like this all the time. They alternate between rythym and melody, this is doing both at the same time.
@XRadioactiveCheeseX10 жыл бұрын
BAHAHAHAHAHAHA.... sorry ill be serious i have 4 words for you "classical gas - mason williams" theres one example of thousands of classical guitar songs of which this technique came from

@dre32pitt8 жыл бұрын
Ashton Hoffman yea, its nuts. i guess the 'real' guitarists that chime in in his vids discount it to the style he plays, but its more than that. at least in my mind.
@boogieloo18318 жыл бұрын
Andre G - well technically, in fingerstyle you are trying to generally play melody, rhythm, bass and sometimes percussion at once - to be a one man band. But not all arrangements are created equal and Sungha, since he was a kid, has made the most incredible arrangements. He really is ahead of the pack meaning his arrangements are as good as those put out by the top fingerstyle guitarists and believe me there are many out there even beyond KZbin. And although to the untrained eye all of the YT guys are great but some are better than others and this kid especially now is one of the best, for many, many reasons.

Dear Sungha, thank you so much for your beautiful play and songs. Your play indeed has awakened me from a deep frustration from losing something that I really loved and passionate about. Your sayings during several interviews were also moving, for it was that being passionate really means you just keep on doing it no matter what, just because you love it. For me who have lost chances once before to do something I love because of environment, it has encouraged me - that I shall keep on loving it, because environment cannot keep me away from loving it. Your word and play has led me to think, 'just do it now'. Thank you very much, and I always look forward to hearing your beautiful songs. Have a great day! Regards, Elizabeth.

+Jay Kim I stoped having guitar lessons and for a year, even tho I am playing I havent's seen any big improovement I think that if you want to learn guitar you have to push yourself to play something that is harder constantly in your 40 years of playing did you ever play a hard track that you could hardly play in half speed? Because I remember during the early years of my guitar learning my teacher told me to learn a song that I couldnt play even in 1 quarter of the speed but it seems that if you can play a song no matter the speed, you can always speed it up with practise
@nextfund8 жыл бұрын
it's not a problem of speed.speed is just a part of it.this music is not fast.and there are so many guys who can play faster than him in terms of speed.even so,you cannot say they are better than this kid.im talking about talent to express what u want.this kid himself can arrange the music too.it's a matter of whole music itself.i got a my own guitar concert in my youth days.but i feel i was not accurate as him.he's very precise and makes almost no errors.that's great.i compare many guitarist (i myself is a cassical guitarist) with him.he's the perfect one.i wonder how good he can be if he plays classical guitar or flamenco giutar music.i wish him to challenge those musics sometime in his future.and i believe he can outperform many professional classical guitarists.
