Middle cell: The middle cell forms the radicle and hypocotyl. It also adds a few cells to the suspensor. Terminal cell: The terminal cell divides to form two cells. The top cell forms the plumule and a single cotyledon called scutellum. The suspensor cell helps push the embryo into the endosperm. Monocots, or monocotyledons, are flowering plants with seeds that typically contain only one embryonic leaf, or cotyledon. They include grasses, sugar cane, bamboos, and many other common food and decorative crops." So is this some kind of mistake...
