Correction about the number of cars in the traffic pool: there's actually 128 cars in normal GTA traffic pool (more like 120 if i bother to count out the duplicates). For this particular race, 29 cars were removed, so give or take 20-25 cars spawn during these sessions. I severely undercounted the amount of diversity in GTA traffic lmao

Idk if it's possible, but I hope we can see a much larger pool of random vehicles for these FiveM Gfreds in the future. No longer the same couple pools, but different combinations with old and new. Hopefully no static pools at all, but different pools each time. That would really keep things fresh and have new cars to decide between often :)

@@HazewinDog i am limited to what the game decides to spawn in, that dictates the variety of traffic i can have over 300 cars in the traffic pool files but the game will always only pick 20-25 to spawn

@@DiNmiTe Yes I understand. But the game will choose a random pool of 20-25 cars each time, correct? I think that is much more interesting than themed traffic where you handpick say 20 cars (though this can be fun occasionally) The way I see it, it keeps things more interesting, because you never know what you might get. Even if you have already counted 12 different cars as you pass the casino, the remaining cars that will pop up could be... anything. With a theme you don't really have that effect, even if the theme is not obvious from the beginning. With how many Gfreds Broughy has done over the year, I it's becoming a bit stale for me lately, and this would make it much more interesting again for me, and I would imagine even more-so to people taking part.

only thing hte freecrawler was very good at was bump stability. it handled the descent down chilliad very well (not accounting for driver error), and also was decent at the transitions after observatory (minus the trees). not sure why anyone would expect it to be a good gfred car, considering how slow it is.

Unsure on how you'd set this up, but a random-more gfred could make a great race. Similar to the any-car freds but could be class specific, end up with five or so different cars from the same class but the field spread would be quite tight for close racing. Different cars would be better at certain checkpoints etc, could be good.

This was my first stream Gfred I've joined and I (FluffySpaceHippo) was in first place at the parachute jump, only for the parachute to open late and land right then and there, having to run all the way down the mountain, run to the beach and swim to the island. That would've been a first place on my very first Gfred after having watched hundreds of them and casually trying them in FiveM freeroam. Man was I salty about that.

I'm curious how the race start timer is coded, because of that exciting hold, like is it a binary probability of race start with each frame/number of milliseconds with an equal chance to start the race, or is it a flat single RNG value with a coefficient for the maximum number of seconds held, and if by any miracle someone knows, what are the values for probability and time period in the binary example, and what is the coefficient and set minimum in the single RNG example? thank you

The different traffic makes it so much more interesting. I have seen what happened at the airport (I feared there would be a fail on the jump) before but the Freecrawler did make it up Chilliad however slowly so please give it some credit.

Hey Broughy - I've got a couple of ideas for Gfreds.... 1) Everyone in fully-upgraded Sasquatches (to be fair I don't know if it's usable in races...) 2) Chaos mod, where the chat vote to introduce random bullshit into the race (again, to be fair, I don't know if Chaos mod would work to target everyone in a race with bullshit...) If either of them could work they could be highly entertaining!

I actually like the freecrawler, pretty much only good for parkour though, it's biggest fault is lack of power on steep inclines, but you can get it over some serious obstacles.

Sure, the Freecrawler isn't spectacular, but it was a solid, steady ride. Knowing just a little about computers and programming, how difficult would it be to have traffic be truly random? Even in GTA Online it's always the same 4 or 5 cars spawning at the same time.

GFRED SUMMARY SERIES Gfred #245: G-PH-red - Expanded and Enhanced Part 2: Sunken Cost Fallacy . . . . SPOILER ALERT After yet another nightmarish Random Race where people picked their selection of cars, it’s time for Gfred. Dinmite said “For removal of doubt, there is still blue flags in random races, just not as strict as normal races. You don't need to get out of the way like in F1, but you should not fight or actively defend against a lapper.” Nex time, there would be something like 5 lap Panto to get to know the lay of the track. Dinmite also made a meme on the Discord about the Random race. And you think that they would drive what they picked better. Mark Verstappen said “I thought for a random race the racecraft on that track was actually pretty decent. Lol. Yes Broughy1322, you went from last to a top 10. I went from 5th on like lap 5 to 16th.” And so, his race isn’t too bad in the end, but he’s too frustrated by so many mistakes from within and without. He wanted a Random More where he gets the slow cars first but he ruined it for himself. He started the lobby as Benny said “In the meantime, I have a paypal to fund me moving overseas closer to the server” Now he wondered when was the last Gfred’s Traffic, which is the E&E one. It’s been a month since then. Dinmite “Quick explanation for traffic theme! It’s the same as last PH Gfred - "Cars that could be in GTA Online Traffic". What I have done is removed the cars from the previous stream so this should be a while new selection.” The red light seems to be quite delayed. Dinmite said “I replaced every car in the traffic files, around 50-60, 10-15 will spawn I think” And being first on the Run is really new, for a LONG time. Definitely the better Gfred experience now. Better Traffic, No Swim Line, No Worry of Cougars. He got a pretty weak Dad Joke, and he’s in a prime position to have his car stolen, especially when people are conspiring to steal his car. He spotted some Terrorbytes, and he spotted a slipping Raptor behind it. Too bad BouHux kicks him out. Usually, the driver’s kicking the passenger in PH, so oh well, Freecrawler it is. He’s sick of the game right after his return already. Dalton GR is seen playing around with the Terrorbyte’s turret. Jan said “In PH the rule is: Always kick Broughy out” The start isn’t too bad when he finally spotted some Huntley S, back to rant why is it not on Vanilla traffic. It did glitched spawn sometimes leaking from the Single Player spawns though. And this Freecrawler is handling it pretty well, he’s now in 3rd. He checked and see Baller LE, and two Buccaneer Customs in the lead. There’s also a Casco, while this Freecrawler have a bad top speed. Is it worth the switch? Raptor and Huntley S aren’t that much better, and Freecrawler seems to do wonders up Chiliad. And it seems like none of the traffic so far have great top speed apart from Casco. And then a bus wrecked him after a duel with Turbo’s Casco. Trevors in Bodhis are also present in Gfred. Another Primo Custom wrecked him at the South Central, with him spotting a Raiden behind it. He looked back so much that he missed the La Puerta Interchange. Too many indecisions, so he sticks with Freecrawler. Casco seems to be leading while Broughy hits the Weeny on the Airport Jump Ramp. He wondered if he ever done that, but he probably did and haven’t for a long while. Then Flax wrecked his second attempt with what seems to be a Paragon. So, he entered the Parkade instead. His Return to Gfred makes him not want to do it at all. And now he got 3 stars, which means he killed a cop somewhere, some said too many peds Phil said he landed on a cop at the Dismount. Now he regretted not taking the Raiden. Then he told Verdilith that Zentorno is not allowed to be used. 4 Fuqs Sake said “Just call Lester” He looked back and ignored a Neon again at Senora Road only to see a Police doing a roadblock as punishment. He really felt guilty about Neon as he ignored a Cinquemilla. He’s too committed to Freecrawler even though it’s not worth it. He’s miserable and stay in this miserable box. Raymo said “This is just a continuation of the last race (Random Select)” There’s a lying husk of destroyed Huntley on the River Jump. Maybe the cop will be gone after the Tunnels. Should have taken the Casco too. Hammer said “Sunken Cost Fallacy 1322” And the kicker is, Freecrawler totally failed up Chiliad while the Huntley by Glass Pot ran off free. He proclaimed that he may despise it more than Vamos and F620. Even a broken Baller is better. It lives up to its name, crawling up Chiliad. And he paid exactly Zero dollar to buy this car in Vanilla. He has made so many bad decisions today. He stumbles on a rock as the kids starts showing up too. It’s definitely the Worst and not Best Gfred Ever. He hates everything that happened right now. Then Mild shows up at the Raton Bridge in Terrorbyte just to almost shuns Broughy off the bridge. He was this close to rage quitting. He’s showing the Gfred Spirit still, and he’s angry at himself since everything is his undoing and some people enjoy this. Benny is spotted taking a Tractor which is also illegal regardless of how funny it is. And he killed a deer too. Gustav also taken an illegal Sanchez too, as well as Dalton and J Clike in Jesters… until Dinmite clarified that Jesters are in the traffic. After 250 Gfreds or so, it’s a lunacy for people to not know the rules. He rammed straight into a tree, distracted by dueling with Glass Pot… and bushes too as he left the Chat to be on for the rest of the race. One of those races for him to forget… and he hits another birch tree on the Dismount Hill. The traffic selection is enjoyable though, what a variety. The decision to take something entirely unknown is the charm here. People are scared of Broughy taking a Hail Mary. It’s a terrible idea, but he’s doing it anyway. And of course, he failed to deploy the parachute, but at least he survived. Swimming time. Freecrawler is as if it’s not obvious enough already, a bad car for Gfred, as he almost died from falling off the cliff to the beach. At least Broughy learned something as it’s been a while since he’s doing a Swim Line in Gfred. He apologized to people for the background noise though. If you love to see Broughy suffer, then this is the Gfred for you. If you don’t, then sorry. Turbo won by saying “Got Freecrawler, switched to Casco, then Jester” Nickvilla said “Cutting the grass at 8PM” Broughy thinks he would be DNF if this is Vanilla too. Dinmite said “Actually one positive from this stream is that fact where you had choice paralysis from the traffic. That makes me feel good 😊” That’s a sign of good job from Dinmite’s selection. And somehow, he finished in… ELEVENTH?! This Gfred has broken him and he understand nothing. All of that was a Top Ten fight. Just like the Random Select “How did 20 people have an even worse race than he did?” Regular Parachute or Swimming without Parachute might get him a Top Ten too. Well, time for the first PS5 Gfred where it isn’t as fun, but he hoped for a better performance. Timington said “The Neon was a way to go I got to 3rd-ish just behind phenix before the hail Mary botched it” Benny said “I have a clip of my callout with you if you're curious kzbin.info/www/bejne/pX_ch41pfrRrgMU” he told Benny to turn off the Whitelist for him while he left to start the Whitelist. Sheep Guy subscribed “They've subscribed for 25 months! 100 divided by 4 is 25, the more you know” while Miami is rainy (even though the race itself is not rainy at all and no Turkey 2020 happening) He blamed Benny for his Aussie internet with the crash earlier in Random race.

With their engine power, we know a lot of sports cars do well off-road as long as there aren't major traction issues. We also know most evs in the game go quite well with going up steep inclines. So I'm wondering why he didn't just grab a Raiden or something lol.

​@@PapaVanTwee5 Even fully upgraded the Freecrawler lacks greatly when it comes to torque, and it gear hunts uphill which makes it worse. It's only real strength is the fact that it sort of clips up onto objects and obstacles in front of it, which is what makes it a good candidate from crawling over rocks, but I would never choose it for any sort of steep climbing endeavors.
