It always baffled me how the Vacca, which is a entry-level Pegassi supercar which is a 2013 og car as well, never spawns in traffic while the Infernus, which is a higher level supercar by 2013 standards does spawns in traffic...

...What does GTA IV has to do with anything here? I'm talking exclusively about V. It would have made more sense to make both cars spawns in traffic, Vacca should have the same spawn frequency as the Infernus, and the Infernus should be as rare as the DLC cars that appears in traffic(Panto, Rhapsody, Huntley, etc..) sometimes.

@@RestlessFisher but the system for traffic spawns in V is completely different from IV. In IV you can set exclusive cars to appear(manipulating the system with OpenIV) within each neighborhood, in V the system is more vague and less especific, like only "high-end" cars for wealthy areas instead of neighborhoods, low-end cars in poorer neighborhoods and beaters and off-road vehicles in the countryside.

They should add new traffic along with allowing cheaper performance cars like the Banshee, Comet, Bullet, ect... to be saved in the garage given they're basically as cheap as a Dubsta or Zion now with the in-game inflation.

Right, or Elegy, which is already free, and an r35 gtr is I assume one of the most popular sports cars in the US. And Banshee is free with the Criminal Enterprise Pack. Also Surrano is like 110k too originally, and it's one of the prettiest og sports cars

I thought I was the only one that was bothered by them not actually updating the traffic. There is no way the game is not able to handle such a simple pool update of cars like it honestly seems like it would be such an easy thing to do? And if rockstar is so concerned about us not being able to store them in our garages off the street then fine, just make them like other “exotic” cars and don’t let us store them! But just let them spawn in traffic!! There’s so many regular type cars that have been added over the years that fit perfect in traffic and would just refresh the game so much in my opinion. It’s just wild to think there’s like 700 vehicles in the game files and they only choose to spawn maybe 100 in traffic. Blows my mind

Don’t even play GTA anymore after transferring my character. Recycling only some cars with the speed increase for insane $ and now the monthly subscription. If they actually made a proper expansion but it is just all very limited. At this point RP servers and watching these videos is pretty much it. Way to send off a great game Rockstar!

I feel like traffic COULD have been used as a way to 'advertise' the cars they add. Just make the spawns of added cars rare enough that people can't just go grab them whenever they want to use one. sadly though 'try before you buy' is anathema to a lot of companies now.

Given that I've modified the traffic in story mode before, it's even more annoying for me knowing how easy it is to change the traffic. They could have made such a big difference with just an hour or two of work...

@@pedinhuh16 In my experience, there didn't seem to be a limit to how many different cars you can have in traffic but the game always tries to limit the number of different cars that are spawned in at once to avoid poor game performance (especially in online since they all have to be synchronised across all players). To put it simply, the file that contains the traffic spawn data has a list of vehicles to choose from and the game randomly picks a selection of them. It doesn't matter how many there are in the list since the game will never spawn in all of them anyway. The file also splits the list up into sections depending on what part of the map you're in which is why you typically see different traffic in Los Santos compared to Blaine County for example.

Really, I'd love to have more immersion, that's why if I ever get GTA on PC I'm definitely going with lore friendly mods, but it would be nice to see a really rare classic car or supercar spawn at a certain spot or area

Man I am feeling you on vanilla GTA 5 online. I have been very concerned about the increasing hacker problem over the past couple of years. It never gets addressed and it only seems to get worse. Then out of nowhere they expect me to pay for nothing and keep the original hacker problem. I would have modded the graphics a long time ago if wouldn't get me banned for modding. I don't need E&E, especially because of FiveM. Honestly there are some pretty sweet vanilla FiveM servers who have spent a good deal of time doing the fixes that R* should have done and didn't. Plus there are some really cool RP servers out there(Highly recommend white list over public) and the experience of GTA 5 just goes through the roof at that point. I had slightly given up on vanilla servers but as soon as the E&E came out and it was exclusive to consoles and the whole bs I was like yep Im done and you know its coming for PC. So now I'm strictly FiveM only.

As a person who likes to mod my game and replace in-game cars with real life cars, it's unfortunate because what's the point of changing the, say, supercars and DLC cars if they don't even spawn naturally? I play LSPDFR a lot as it's my favorite mod to play GTA with. I used to play IV with the LCPDFR mod outfitted with various audio, visual, and car mods to fit the NYC vibe (because I live in NYC). It was so much fun roleplaying as a cop, using irl vehicles to further push the realism aspect. From what I remember, most of the cars that were already provided in the game spawned naturally, so replacing the cars didn't seem like a waste of time. I can't say the same for V's car spawning. I'm not replace the Vacca with it's irl inspiration, the Lamborghini Huracan, because it doesn't spawn in singleplayer after 9 fucking years of it being in the game. It's literally one of the OG supercars. Can't even pull over a Pagani Huayra (Cheetah) doing 140 on the freeway. Pain. I guess, at the end of the day, is what the fanbase is for. To fix the things that shouldn't be problems in the first place. Bless the existence of FiveM.

Some dlc cars spawn like the panto, warrener and some other spawn in some specific locations. What could be great is that you could steal one of the dlc cars and customise them rather then wasting money to buy a new one :/

Ie Dinka Kanjo, Club, Dinka Jester, New BMW, Old BMW, Elegy, New Merc but there isn't one fairly standard, Vacca, Pony, Classic Mustang, New Granger, New Landstalker, New Mustang, New Charger, New Challenger, Honda S2000 and if they ever add the Land Rover Defender or Mazda MX5/RX8 they should be added to along with the Classic Mini, Classic Sultan, Classic Fiat 500 and standard one.

This week I win the Euros have to sell my Kanjo as Rockstar won't let me sell my Vigero, Phoneix and offers a Mere 16K for the Duke Of Death yet I could Rob an unarmoured Dukes off the street Mod it sell it for me. Oh and Today I immediately go to help some guy I was chilling with he was being griefed I join his CEO get blown up instantly. The fact you can't toggle headlights by the casino without paying 50 dollars to enter parking and get it back. The fact an Ftype Jag is more expensive than a McLaren F1 which costs £20 mil irl an Ftype 5.0 Litre Supercharged V8 R Model £110,000. The British who made the game didn't intend for things to go this way hence Dan and his brother left. Take Two and the Americans are milking it. Gta 6 will probably be Story mode with Gtao expanded to feature Gta 6's map or separate servers with Gta 5/LS Map and Gta6/New Map. Or Two separate games Gta Story mode for like £40 disk or download Gta6/Gtao Expanded, Enhanced or something either 2 or new name download/disk drive to keep permanently for like £40. Gta 6 will either see more ridiculous prices and because the reason Gta is so good ie Innuendos taking the piss out of America, British Humour, Stereotyping was all created by the Housers. Gta 6 might be watered down rubbish with American humour. It is why Gta could never be set in Britain though it would be genius as the Housers could give us what we love as Brits self depreciation Humour, the Culture of Mods, Rockers, Chavs, Goths, Britpop, Rock and Roll, Voilence, Drugs, Alcohol or even take the piss out of the government ie Scandals take recent events, Parties, Porn, Sexism, Bullying and Noncing maybe mocking the Social upper class. 8F is definitely Mr. Dependable! Not as good as it's cousin, the 9F, of course, but just as dependable to get the job done quite well! 8F is in the same category as the Sultan in regular Gfreds and the Baller in "Weatherfreds": Solid, dependable, reliable! Excellent comeback at the end, too: Went from well outside the Top Ten to 6th, despite the parachute trying to sabotage the comeback!

Honestly after the enhanced update, and them not warning you can no langer play with PS4 friends, I lost all interest in the game. Then instead of adding unique content, something to refresh the map, (Maybe add cayo as a place to go to) they released the monthly subscription. Sad to see they really ruined it, was one of the best GTA’s ever made but thanks to their milking it and $ driven decisions it is going down with a bad after taste.

With the newer power of the systems lately, they could massively spike the variety too. so basically you almost never see more than 1 of the same car at a time. more dense traffic too so it actually feels like one of the biggest cities in the world. they could add the vast majority of vehicles from all the dlc's over the years. and it would be nice to be able to actually grand theft some more autos cuz a lot of vehicles are less than 100k meaning you could keep them if you stole them. if they never add more traffic though, they should get rid of the 100k limit tbh. they're not gonna be harmed by people being able to keep a free infernus off the street lol. definitely not these days anymore. and if you choose to sell it, that's only an extra 34k every hour or so. that's nothing but pocket change in today's money. worst case for them is if the super rare adder spawn happens cuz that would sell for 100k, but it'd take so long to find one that you might as well do other money making methods.

GFRED SUMMARY SERIES Gfred #244: G-PH-red - The Updated Traffic - What Should Have Been . . . . SPOILER ALERT After a nice Random All Race filled with Pickups, it’s time for Gfred. He said that the temperature has risen by 5 Degrees since the beginning of the stream. So he decided to open the window, with all the children noises and bright sunshine as he took a brief break. The heat is too much for Gfred, and of course Summer came back to greet everyone. Broughy decided to start with Blazer Aqua so they can drive to the Lighthouse. Dino donated “Summer bits” But of course, you can’t use the Blazer Aqua to skip the Run. Curry King Wurst said “She's concerned for you, putting her paw on your shoulder and everything.” And the Swim Line is not allowed either. Verdilith donated “Welcome to the LAST Gfred of the season!” He goes off quite quickly as he explained the Off-Season once more, which people generally loved on Twitch. Of course, the lighthouse is a massive pileup and Broughy is blocked by a purple Blazer Aqua right on the stairs. Maybe it’s not a good idea after all. It was intended for fun, but of course it caused a lot of issues… and possibly explosions as well. He’s prefacing about the noise and brightness outside even though Run Skippers won’t care anyway, while a Cougar is chasing for some contestants on the background. But yeah, who knows that running two PCs at once is hot as hell. Although KZbin won’t notice the Gfred break because he had plenty on the backlog before starting the Gfreds on the 9th Gen. Distracted by a Dad Joke, an LSDWP Boxville rammed him, allowing Turbo to snatch it first. He mentioned how good the traffic theme this time, as he mentioned that he got this idea a while ago whilst taking a Tailgater. However, Darx ruined it by not only snatching it and preventing Broughy to kick him out, he also brought the cops to him as well. Then an NPC kicks Darx back whilst he tried again. So, he gave up and take another Tailgater two cars behind…. Who immediately escaped him? And he took the next one right after… but then the game just teleported him out of the car for some reason. He took the 4th Tailgater now, and this time it sticks. Now he’s concerned if he will keep these Stars for the rest of the race as he crosses the road to avoid the cops in front of him. The Cannonball Run earlier also showed that this Tailgater is not good. Some said the Reaper is around. He begun ranting of E&E having zero change on the traffic and GTA+. In which he proposed to Dinmite his idea as everyone dodged an oncoming Dump into the Quarry. Jamie Aubrey said “Can't make money from traffic”, examples of these changed traffic is Roosevelt, Vacca, and also Tailgater. He peeled off to Senora Road this time. He begun ranting for the lack of effort and ambition and begun listing everything under the sun as he stopped and spotted something from behind, which is an 8F Drafter… but he failed to stop it. He thinks some people had issues by the time of reaching the Airport… and he barely noticed that Pheenix got a Cheetah. He didn’t think it’s in the pool as 250 Ping’s Everon is hit. Now he added old cars never been in Traffic like Adder and Cheetah into the ranting list, also Auzcast’s Furore GT. Mr. Juckt said “The new Granger or Landstalker” And then a cop turned left right into him in Legion Square, gifting Broughy with a Wanted Level. And an Asbo is spotted at the Hospital. Yeah, in just ten minutes or so people already came up with so many great ideas. The more he thinks about it, the more frustrating it is, especially after GTA+, he’s close to be on the Crossroad and breaking point with Vanilla GTA. The Off Season came at a perfect time where he needs a break from this madness. He literally overtook Adem’s Vacca on the River Jump. He felt that this 8F is quite underwhelming, Vacca and Cheetah seems to be the best so far. BouHuk’s Tailgater is struggling at Chiliad, but Auzcast isn’t. He nudged Hac’s 8F too, so it did alright. Probably like the Mr. Dependable the Sultan. It’s not special, but it gets the job done. He’s still jealous of the Cheetahs and Vaccas though. He has no idea of his position as he’s involved with a demolition derby on the Summit, especially the Rollover with the Purple Alien, 90 Nine’s Furore. As he saw someone flew off the Descent, he thinks the Blazer Aqua from the beginning made the field tighter than usual. So, he isn’t doing too bad with this race. He slipped too fast right at the Sawmill however. Then he rammed straight into the lagging Cute Sea Trout in his Vacca. He saw both Mild and Baboziege in Vaccas tailing him, seems to be the best option here. And it’s too late for him to change cars. He barely succeeded through the Elk Leap Skip. He also saw the Outlaw earlier at South Central, that could be good in Blaine County. The Dismount Hill really affirms his claim that the 8F took the Sultan role today. Fire Down meanwhile took the Win, as he survived the Zancudo Entrance bumps. And keep the dependable spirit, he took the Josiah Parachute, to repent how much he treated it rudely recently. Not to mention Hail Mary is rather inconsistent in PH. Of course, he bailed in a turning turtle position, but he managed to deploy the parachute in the end. That was lucky, and he blamed the parachuting process rather than the car. He’s dueling Pheenix in the air. He cut everybody who is swimming at the left, and he claimed… He teased everyone if he should show it or not, and it turns out to be… SIXTH. That was pretty good after a bad start. 2nd-5th also finished within 4 seconds to each other, while Fire Down dominated and Broughy is the best of the rest. Meanwhile, Pheenix got 2nd, Dinmite is the 5th one, Turbo got 9th, Mild and Verstappen claimed 11th and 12th. Verdilith and Baboz is 13th and 14th. Mayo said “F1 Time” Broughy apologized to the Believers for not finishing in 5th. Auzcast got 18th. Dinmite said “One explanation on how I did the traffic: I took the full list of cars and used Broughy's top speed test. I replaced each car with one that's slightly faster in top speed and those that aren't in traffic normally. And here's the concoction it made. For context, Stuff like the Cinquemila, Raptor, like 4 different Ballers were also in the pool” It was an interesting method to do it. Turbo asked “If you die at the highway, you can use vehicle to skip the run to the highway, right?” which is a no, but he questioned if it’s allowed until he realized that only the tractor is not allowed. Then he checked the Rulebook again, and the answer is he has to get a car first for it to be allowed.

it's possible, the number of cars in the traffic pool does not affect the game at all, because the game cherry picks a handful of cars to spawn from that pool. we still have no idea how the game decides what can spawn and what is ignored

Its not just the traffic that shows off just how stupid and lazy they are. If you think of the fortune they have spent on licenced music and actual in game characters for Dr Dre and the rest and like 20 different rap stations now, with zero new content for the one rock station and country station. And all content those licence fees could have paid for, but forget needing to code stuff. Existing Assets DLC could be the bigger than Doomsday and would require nearly zero effort. Traffic of course, but also, all the vehicles that are already in Online that we can't purchase being made available for garage or Pegasus, from the Caddy and Lawn Mower to all the trucks in the game to the Sky-Lift helicopter. Stuff that's in single player like The (Jumbo) jet, change it to fit 32 passengers instead of 2 and it'd be a worthwhile expensive buy. Also the Cargo Jet. Animals, Triathalons, Random muggings. Return the armored car robberies. And palette swaps for clothes, shoes, licence plates. 9 years and we still can't get more than 3 licence plate colours?

I've got to say this, I get the disappointment with GTA+, but it is nowhere near as bad as it could've been. We've had nearly 9 years of free content for GTA Online. Outside of buying the game, you've never needed to buy shark cards unless you didn't want to do the grind. And the grind has always been there, from Gerald's missions to survival mission to heists and more recently the Casino and Cayo heists. 9 years free packed with free updates and DLCs, which is 7 years longer than a hell of a lot of other games that get released, yet GTA+ is unthinkable and the worst thing ever according to some people. The only surprise with GTA+ is it didn't come out years before. Again, annoying yes, pointless unless you are a main GTAO player? Yes. The worst thing ever like people say? No. It's less than a Netflix sub a month if you want it, if you don't want it, you miss out on a car upgrade for a few weeks.

I wanted to mention about the caching needed to store all the models - like in the Vehicle warehouse it can only show x vehicles because it would take too much RAM (as far as I know) - but considering that you guys are using it here without a single issue, that reason is out of the window for me. irrc there's also the thing where every car has a list of cars that it can spawn in traffic (which is generally 6 or so). So I wonder if that system is holding them back? But again, if it can happen on here, then there's little reason it shouldn't work in GTAO.
