Parker Armstrong - The first series was filmed in spring when there is 18hrs of daylight in a day. Winter is 18hrs of darkness. And the daytime is often spent in the refuge of an ice tent. That's a lot of dreary backdrops....

hey man, i live in winnipeg, any tips for fishing the assiniboine or the sturgeon creek? i have caught alot of baby pike there but nothing to impressive
@uncutangling8 жыл бұрын
POLLYFREE polly - Try fishing some large spoons or Swimbaits and you will surprise yourself with a 30+" with some effort. Catfishing on the Assiniboine would be the best bet for a bigger fish, usually the deeper pools you want to fish will be on bends or below riffles.
@pollyfree8 жыл бұрын
Thanks man I appreciate the response, ill try out some larger red and white spoons then and maybe the yellow black checkered, they seem to enjoy those, i always have fun with a top water rapala minnow also, catfishing is my favorite though and ive pulled up some 11-20 pounders at the Portage La Prairie Diversion..... if you havent hit it up in awhile, last may long weekend I caught my PB channel and Bullhead. Also I was watching a video of you fishing for suckers and i think there must be some of them hanging out there because i had a fish snap my ocean reel when doing a challenge.... just a heads up might be worth a try

How did you make those burn out tracks go right under that parked truck?
@carlh77958 жыл бұрын
Good vid. I have the Helix 5 si. Much smaller screen but still usable. One thing though, it's not good to hold the fish horizontal by its lower jaw. ALWAYS support the body with your other hand when holding the fish horizontal. The same rule applies to all fish including bass (lg and sm mouth). Holding them like that is hard on the jaw and can cause permanent damage to their 'hinge' which can mean death by starvation. I like your energy in the vid, although I typically like to fish with low energy fishing buddies because I get easily distracted if they're acting up.
@carlh77958 жыл бұрын
Note how the crappie at 14:00 had its mouth open when releasing it. Not a good sign.
@uncutangling8 жыл бұрын
My opinion is that IF holding a Bass or Crappie by the jaw (even briefly vertically) facilitates a more secure hold to reduce the chance of dropping and expedite unhooking/handling/release, THEN it's a worthwhile tradeoff to the potential harm from brief jaw hinge strain. Fish are incredibly resilient and tough if you minimize the out-of-water time, and do not damage the gills or internal organs. Your comments definitely have merit, and I could have done a better job here and in past circumstances, but better practice yet would be to never remove the fish from the water, or not to fish at all?
@christianaldrich38855 жыл бұрын
Jackall makes awsome baits I been running the 5.8" ryhtem waves on 1/8 jigs for large walleye at night and have logged over 280+ walleye over 24" this season. There awsome baits.. I log my fish on fishbrain and on IG. Fish Minnesota

Christopher Barton - The decking is a custom job done by a friend. The V16 is an ideal boat for that because it's relatively cheap and bare bones --- and then you can customize it thereafter as you wish!
