I understood every single minute the tear-jerkers of this video. From the beginning since it was posted. I don't know why initially this time around, but watched from 13:00 to the end over and over and over before I understood why. Watch Sizz. Just watch him, watch one of his best friends achieve the unachievable after so many failures. I balled at the full absorption of Sizz's reaction. That is true friendship and less importantly commitment from player to coach and coach to player. I'm glad it's now 2021 where I can burn this documentary to a CD and have it buried w me. Fr tho. Peep his reaction in the back absolutely loosing it in his own bubble of excitement. History.

There's a difference between "I will stop once I have lifted the trophy" and "I'm not going to stop until I have lifted the trophy" One designates a specific end, the other just states a requirement before his end.

6:00 “Unfortunately, determination, and even the greatest 0 second goal of all time, still wasn’t enough to defeat Fireburner cutting rotation and bumping Garrett to throw the game.”
@holaxatzonek55534 жыл бұрын
i know im responding late but... look closely, right before that bump you can clearly see jstn going for a ball which Violentpanda had control of and that made the biggest mistake on the overtime. jstn was too far away from the ball but he decided to go for it anyways, resulting in that he didnt even hit it. so yeah stop blaming fireburner it isnt his fault at all
@PtylerBeats4 жыл бұрын
@@holaxatzonek5553 it wasn't JSTN's job to hit the ball. It was his job to put pressure on Panda to make him get rid of the ball. Which he does. The point of having a 2nd man is that once JSTN calls to his team that he wont be able to reach the ball (which he knows hes goings to miss), its the second man's job to be ready for that ball. Second man was Garrett. Third man? Fire. Garret was the one ready and prepared for JSTN's miss. But he probably didn't communicate that he was going for it to Fire because he didn't expect Fire to race across the field, out of position, to panic rush a ball that isn't his ball to go for. Garret is in a better position to hit the ball, he's the second man in the rotation, so as JSTN is rotating back to third man, Fire should be pushing up to either be prepared for a pass from Garrett (if Garrett can even clear the ball), or be ready to back up Garrett in case he missed the ball. In no world is Fire supposed to go for the ball. JSTN missing the ball is such a minor error. In fact, him whiffing the ball is infinitely better than him not challenging at all. Because that's why rotations exist. They're there to backup your teammates in case they miss. And if they miss, it's your job to be ready for that and back them up. So when JSTN pushes on the ball, even if he knows he's missing, it puts pressure on panda causing him to make a play on that ball so he cant just get a free dribble to the net. Fire should have rotated behind Garrett and waited for him to challenge the ball. The absolute worst thing Fire could have done was cut rotation and bump his teammate. And it's the one thing he did. I'm not saying Fire is/was a bad player. We all make mistakes. And it's much easier for me to sit here and talk about what he shouldn't have done than it is to actually be in that situation and perform perfectly. Hindsight is 20/20. I'm just calling it how it is. JSTN's miss didn't cause the goal. Any high level team can recover from a missed challenge like that. What high level teams cannot recover from is a player driving out of position to bump their only other player that could save a shot. JSTN was out of position from his challenge. In no world would it have been his responsibility to save that ball. You can try to argue with me, but I could put money on it that as soon as that shot went into the net, Fire new EXACTLY what he did wrong. I'm sure the first thing he did was apologize. The last thing he would have done was blame his teammate, because you don't become a pro by ignoring your mistakes and highlighting your teammates'.

You know, I watched most of this live, and even watched this very video before. But with LANs coming back and personally rooting for NRG to once again take the LAN title, I watched this again and my word... My heart was beating with every hyped moment even though I knew the outcome. I felt the tears at the end when he finally go the trophy. Here's to another LAN with as much emotion, even more quality gameplay, and increasing the already awesome community of Rocket League.

I just realized I went to school with GarrettG! For some quick info, Garrett went to my high school through his freshman year (I'm not saying which high school), however he eventually starting getting into the RL scene and his parents transferred him to an online school. It's a shame he wasn't in any of my classes.
