Honestly Comm is a genius by making himself a villian, not only does it make fans louder about the support for their team but it also gives the tourneys a story which drives more engagement. Just rooting for your fav team is cool and all, but when theres a villian in the scene it makes everything feel that much more important. Smash melee had hungrybox hated for his slow calculated style of play in vast contradiction to melee's very fast and aggressive play. Idk much anout rocket league esports but from the lil i saw in this vid it seems like it is or at least was a very slow and calculated game, and comm turning that on its head and being aggressive with 20 demos, i have to compliment him

While receiving repeated Demos are annoying, they are part of the game and tied to the skill expression. Otherwise it would not be part of the game. To land 20 Demos in a game against Pros that actually train to not get demo'd is a huge sign of great skill and should not be focus of hate. In fact NRG being able to get demo'd so often shows that they were lacking a certain niche part of a skill. Being able to recognize and abuse the weakness of an enemy is in itself another sign of hidden skill and depth knowledge.

without talking about skills i hate him and love him at the same time, i hate him because i hate this type of play but i think it's so nice to have this kind of entertainment, the fans have become more passionate and united than ever to root for their team (or against one)

I know these two communities are completely different but in the Smash Bros. community, trash talking is widely accepted and utilized. Trash talking can make people flustered which makes them do more panic options and play more aggressive which can make them lose. What separates the pros is that they can keep cool and collected. Trash talkers spend so much energy being toxic that it actually takes away from their gameplay. If you can stay collected, winning against people who spend their energy trying to be toxic should be an easier task than someone who doesn't trash talk. That's why only a few pros can succeed while trash talking.

The communities may be different, but this still applies here which is why I think it should be accepted, and it makes the match more entertaining if you are the spectator, it can be very frustrating and sometimes unhealthy I think if taken to far (By the players). Cheers!

I think it's immature and poor sportsmanship and just teaches kids playing the game to be even more annoying and toxic. We should draw the line at stuff that would get you carded in a real sport, and that includes yelling at and cussing out the other team.

I’m an NRG fan and also a mild Comm fan. I think he went too far against endpoint but I think his trashtalk is a breath of fresh air that we haven’t taken since Retals was young. What he has done for the competitiveness and stakes of RLCS cant be denied and his antics only make the esport better

This is the only valid take. Comm played better than any of the NRG players that series anyway (hurts to admit), the bumps were just funny. As a long-time NRG fan from Europe I love Comm just because of how wound up people on my feeds get 💀

@@reubenkimber what hurts me so much more than Comm's good performance in that series is how NRG also were doing so much better than they have in a long time but after this regional they just reset. Also sucks that NRG gets even more hate from their own fans than opposing fans
