@@Wispeks yes, but it is embarrassing, even for toxic players to lose 10-0 against someone they called shit. A lot of these people are normal people, not complete arrogant egotists and to normal people it fucking sucks.
@9nikola3 жыл бұрын
@@shaunlevin5081 Most toxic people that lose 10-0 against the person they're toxic against will just pretend it didn't happen. Telling them and providing proof that they just played against a pro makes it a unique enough moment for them to remember it and thus think about it later. And then they don't have any excuses not to admit that someone they played against is actually better than them. Admitting you're not perfect is a very big step to not becoming toxic.
@SethAndrew523 жыл бұрын
@@9nikola Psych major here, can confirm your comment. It's the ego. This is why therapists are quick to deduce who wants to get better, and who just wants attention, because you'll burn yourself out trying to help them.
@noneofyourbusiness42942 жыл бұрын
@@9nikola tough one. I've been toxic, and probably will be again. Just like most, or at least a lot of people, have, and will. Like being put into your place has two options: 1) you swallow that, and maybe think to yourself that sort of sucking was either your fault, or a team effort 2) thinking, that on a good day, you could beat a pro. There is a third option of being way too full of yourself. But in a rather short semi professional WoW career, I learned that even those people would eventually learn. Asking why the heck you would make that decision- weeks later you get an Email, basically saying "oh now I get it!" The rarest option is 4; knowitalls. They had the game already though through. Like: if I hadn't messed this up, you should have been there, but I messed it up, so you should have been there. Also, you have to Cover front, center, and mid, because I'll be where the ball might be, if I don't miss it

That doesn't stop him from challenging any guy he comes across, he even hands out boxing gloves to people on the street and starts punching them as hard as he can as soon as they put them on without any warning. Most of them immediately back off due to not knowing what the hell is actually going on, which Zelenoff considers a win. He even challenged some famous people, like Floyd Mayweather's father and always got his ass handed to him big time. . In all cases, he made a video afterwards and braged about how easily he had won those fights, even when people had to jump in in order to save his fucking life.

I remember being *really* fed up with toxicity in OW competitive, then he next game I play with my gaming buddy some random guy goes off again. Like, insanely off, over nothing. My buddy (for the first time ever, he usually responds in kind) goes ''Wooowww man... are you okay? For real?'' but in a genuine-sounding way (legit no clue how he did it) and the other guy goes like ''Tbh not really man, been having the worst luck, can't get my aim on point, have crazy suicidal teammates and I'm just kinda pissed.'' Then an *actual conversation* happened and the guy chilled for the rest of the match. 't Was bizarre, but true. And extremely refreshing for some reason.

@SherrifOfNottingham4 жыл бұрын
Not to belittle the game or the actual gamers that play it... but rocket league is not a "gamer" game, it's a highly casual game that a lot of non-gamers can enjoy. It's like Call of Duty, or really any multiplayer game on console, it's a game where they have to commitment to it, they don't feel like the other players are actually people and treat the game like a toy they can throw out when they're done with it. They don't take it seriously and they don't treat the game or the people playing it with respect. Most people that play Rocket League aren't "gamers" they just play games, it's the Zynga problem, the playerbase is mostly made up of people that don't play other games and don't actually spend time improving. They don't actually think about how good you can get at the games and think that they're the top of the ladder, the best player out there. Because of it the community is filled with a sort of toxicity that's hard to be rid of, ingrained in the culture of the game. People that think they're a pro at the game, claiming others are lucky when they themselves get lucky more often than they care to admit. In CS:GO people say "Nice Shot" when somebody gets a moving deagle headshot, the sad part is it was an ironic phrase once upon a time, but people now actually give and take credit for a bullet going into somebody's head when there's little to no control of where that bullet actually goes. It's luck, it's always been a lucky thing, and you'll rarely see pro's actually get a moving deagle headshot because they don't go for it, if they have to shoot somebody with a deagle, they stop moving so it's accurate. But people in CS:GO think getting a moving headshot is a skill because a lot of people disregard their own skill and consider themselves to be "better" Are they really gamers? Well, to the extent that some 60 year old lady playing farmville is also a gamer, sure, but where would you truly draw the line? Skyrim Grandma, is she a gamer because of her choice of game, what about baconmom (minecraft grandma) is she a gamer? My specific definition of a gamer is that of somebody that plays more than one game regularly, I play League, CS:GO (and Valorant now I guess) I occasionally play Rocket League, Dark Souls, Monster Hunter, Red Dead... yeah Gamer. But somebody that just play Rocket League and only switches games once in a blue moon? That is not really a gamer. And non gamers in casually competitive games are typically the source of the community's toxicity.
