if you want powder at sunlight i suggest going mid January early February and going down the run called sundown.

Exactly! Everyone’s there to just ride and have fun versus trying to show off

I'm only going to be in Colorado for 3 days and I'm looking for a cheaper place to ski....I've heard that Ski Cooper is really reasonable especially since my family and I are beginner and intermediate skiers. What is the cost for a date ticket here?

Ski Cooper, Sunlight, and Powderhorn are cheaper medium-sized ski areas on the western slope - they are all excellent, but Glenwood Springs (by Sunlight) is an amazing town that you could easily spend three days in - multiple hot springs and great restaurants! Tickets are about $72. Where in Colorado will you be? These areas are maybe too far from the front range for day trips, the closest being Ski Cooper - 2 hours away in perfect conditions. Loveland or Eldora would be cheap-ish alternatives to the mega resorts and are close enough for day tripping from the front range. Ski Cooper sits at well over 10,000 feet elevation, which could definitely be an issue for some people.

@litup6465 isn’t powderhorn expensive? I looked at their prices last year when I stayed in grand junction and it was outrageous so I kept driving
