I love a ‘day camp!’ 🏕 I used to live inland from the Oregon coast and many times we’d pack up our shade tent (like yours), camp chairs, cooler full of food & snacks, guitars and some blankets and spend the day at the beach! Kick back, listen to the waves crashing, take a nap, jam a little and head home after sunset - _PERFECT_ ! I made a hand printed list I kept in a plastic sheet protector and then kept that list in the cooler! Using a marker I would check off the items as I packed them into the car. Otherwise, we could easily forget things like drinking water, forks or condiments 😝 we’d pack up the night before, stop at the grocery store on the way out of town and spend a long glorious day at the beach 🙏🏾 Good times! Your setup is lovely and very stylish!

@GaiaCarney First of all I love your channel name!! Yes this concept is nothing new when you think in terms of spending a day at the park or beach with family, cooking on the grill etc. Now it's doing the same at a Campground and calling it "day camping." But at the beach sounds way better, lol. Man as you described it, I could just picture myself there. This is exactly why I love camping at the lake. It may not be the beach but it's close to it. I usually do a mock set up and write out a list of things so I don't forget but this camp was one that I barely did anything, it was somewhat a spare of the moment reservation. i really appreciate you taking time to view the video and leaving such a warm comment. I'm still thinking of that very descriptive beach scene and now I have to find a beach next camping season to camp at and I think I know the perfect place!

Have you considered a “kitchen camp kit” a bin/tote that has all the kitchen items you might need like a can opener,mixing spoons,matches etc? That way it’s always packed and ready to go and you don’t have to remember things like the can opener. I bought most of my kitchen camp bin stuff from IKEA (and some from Walmart & even Dollar Tree) Happy Camping 🩷⭐️🎄🏕️

Great idea for new campers to get used to being outdoors and setting up camp. Day camping should be like a picnic in the park only with a tent and all the gear. *** I was thinking about going to a " Day Use" area in a State Park and practicing putting up my tent. Do you think they would say anything? There are many of these areas that are free during the day or maybe like $7 to get into the park and be able to use the facilities. Let me know your thought?
@andavis18703 ай бұрын
You got it sis, that’s basically what it is. A great way to get comfortable with your gear without having to worry about overnight commitment. Especially for those that don’t have the living accommodations to do so. I live in an apartment and most of my tents I can set up in my garage. Otherwise I go to a park & do it. And yes most parks will allow it. I think the only somewhat concern they had was leaving stakes in the ground. But definitely check first.

Looks like a beautiful day to be out! I love fall camping. Loved seeing the Fantikk tent out on this trip. I love mine! We had chilli our first night at Kerr Lake a couple weeks ago. I made it at home and then froze it for a day before putting it in the cooler to make it easy to just warm up. Happy Fall Camping!

@1GunGurl That’s exactly what I did my last camp, cooked the night before. Typically I don’t cook at camp just so I can have that time back. But yeah, how’bout our beloved Fanttik Hub!!! I absolutely adore this tent. I hope they make a bigger one like the Gazelle has. I’m jumping all over it if they do. I also wish they make it in different colors. By the way, check this tent out. You might like this one too. a.co/d/3JFG5Fi

Thank you for allowing me to share my experience. My son & I enjoyed Glamping. My solar generator was too small to power my heater. I did bring a cord and was able to plug into gas generator. My heater had 3 wattage settings, 600, 900, & 1,500, I was able to reduce to 600 watts to prevent overloading the generator. Because I tried out everything at home first, I was able to adjust and use less energy. I went from electric hot plate to induction cook top, urinating in a jar with kitty litter to a portable toilet. I found microfiber towels, quick to dry and use less space. I used these new ice gel packs to line walls of my cooler and then froze my drinking water bottles to serve as ice. As the ice melted in the water bottles, we drank it. This prevented having melted ice/cold water floating inside the cooler. I had LED camping lanterns hung in corners illuminate the tent, and used an old shower curtain to provide privacy for my bathroom. I had 2 collapsible wash basins (cooking & bathing), and used small kiddy pool to serve as shower collection pan. My toilet was 3 gal fresh and 2.5 black treated with bio-enzyme. This is a much easier light weight size to carry to porta-potty to dump.
