Also this is incredible footage. I have no idea how it surfaced on the same account as such gems as "World's Longest and Sexiest Tongue" and "Carrie Fisher Slo Motion - No Bra" but please don't ever take it down.

haha!! Thanks! Don't worry, I would never take it down. It's my original footage, I was at the show.

Jeremy’s a dead ringer for Dennis Hopper. Or even a young Brando. Idk y but that’s my comment. 😅

Damn. Jeremy seems a ton nicer than I would have thought. From this footage, not a primadonna at all.

He was easily the most down to earth in the band. From all accounts a cool dude.

_you thought that someone who probably an angel in human form and who sings about god (leaving room for non-"believers") would be less "nice"? wow!_

He was very nice. I remember not knowing who he was and he would come into my work and one day my friend Mary came in after he had left and was gushing over him and so naturally I had to go out and buy his album (rotfq) and I immediately fell hard for it and was hooked. I admit I acted a fool in front of him after that, and needless to say he avoided me, as he should have. Anyway, saw some amazing shows of his and of SDRE'Sin Seattle

I met him at a solo show a few years ago. One of the highlights of my life. SUCH a regular guy. It was like just walking up to some random guy on the street and just saying, "what's up?"

Thank you tart green for both uploading this footage and not taking it down as this is a great way to see the band as they communicated with their fans in such an earnest and passionate way. Many bands, if they had their type of underground success, might have been smug and arrogant to their fans, but gratefully I don't see that at all from this video with SDR. They are absolutely one of my top 5 bands of all time, so to see this type of interaction with their fans back then is absolutely both refreshing and humbling to view as again a great fan of theirs. Thanks again and cheers!

11:32 "Coolest loser" I didn't hear the first part of what that kid said so I'm curious as to what that was referencing.

This looks painfully awkward for Enigk.

but still so nice...

He definitely seemed like an introvert, but he definitely did his best to be nice to everyone. I was one of those crazy obsessed fans back in the day and I even knew aboust where he lived (he used to come into my work and eat and I knew his red Volkswagen back then and which street he parked on, so I'm pretty much just assuming lol) and after work my friend Josh and I would walk around his neighborhood and past his car a few times until Josh would start screaming very loudly, "JEREMY, I LOVE U!!!" and I was gone after that.... Dying of embarrassment

I wonder what happened to that "Pillars" video.

HolidayKirk if I remember it was bad timing as usual with that band. Prob something to do that shortly after that tour they were gone from sub pop and Joe Skyward who was just filling in on Bass (and has since passed from cancer, r.i.p.), had other commitments; Which is why, when they recorded their next and final album The rising tide (released in 2000 on The time Bomb label) it was as a three piece with Jeremy handling the bass parts as well.

Mike Thomas Damn. This album really could have used some more promotion and a video might have given them some regular 120 Minutes airtime. Amazing to me that across 4 albums this band only had 2 music videos in an era when that really mattered.
@mikethomas61208 жыл бұрын
HolidayKirk They also made a third official music video for the song One from their last album The rising tide. All they did though was take footage of a live version and sync the studio version onto it. I was actually at the show they taped the video footage for it. It was in Boston MA during the tour for the rising tide,which would have been either 2000 or 2001?
@mikethomas61207 жыл бұрын
I may be wrong if their third official video wasn't for the song "On" off of the Rising tide than it was for the Rising tide track, "Killed by an angel". I can't remember. But regardless a third official video was made albeit a bit crude of them just performing live in Boston, MA. I still however can't wait for the new Jeremy album that is in the works. Check out his Pledge music page if you haven't already. Cheers!

Just found out this footage was posted to youtube yesterday. My good friend tart green was a spider on the wall capturing all the cringe. The boys in the band were so gracious.. meant the world to my 18 year old ass. We watched this footage so many times as youths, its incredible to rewatch 26 years later😊

Wait so did Nate leave SDRE before Will? Since Joe is in the band at this point? (never heard of him before this video and just found he died, RIP)
@burnzyburnswild6 жыл бұрын
Scott Raynor they left at the same time. Will came back because his tenure with Foo Fighters was very short. I know Nate is still with the FF, I’m not sure what Will is doing now
@samnicholson50514 жыл бұрын
This was after Will left the Foo Fighters and during SDREs first reunion, which Nate was absent from entirely. But he was in the Fire Theft after their second breakup and during their 2009 reunion. If you include the Fire Theft, Will is the kinda the Nick Mason of the group, because he's been in on pretty much everything from near the beginning.
