Do you like the revo more than the grigri? I use the grigri, and I'm thinking of buying the revo thanks for the videos

Yes, I ended up trusting the Revo and now I prefer it to the GriGri because it's so much less of an hassle. However you have to mod it, etc. See my manual for all the info: app.box.com/s/xe19rd4mymgu63vqaq1owf1doh2na92g

@@AndreaCalligarisClimbing Thank you so much for the manual. I've been wondering if Ishould go for the revo, because it seems so clean. Like you, I don't like all the fuzz about equipment, just the necessary safety. Your system is the cleanest I've seen..

@@jansveen Then, go with the Revo for sure. Just be aware of all the safety issues, read well the "Cons - Important!" section of the Revo part in the manual. Always bring with you a GriGri in case a route doesn't fit the Revo. I would mainly be careful about not doing a FF2, and I would occasionally check that the teeth are not consumed.

why are these routes bolted so frequently? I could aid the complete thing using only 2 ladders and expresses

Andrea, I’ve read your manual and used it to start my own soloing along with other sources. One thing I’d like to ask is have you considered using a shock absorber at your anchor like a Pezl Absorbica for instance? I’m looking at the possibility of it and whether or not it’ll just blow on the first hard-ish fall. I’d like to hear your thoughts on this🍻💪

"Climbing" → "Soft catch / dynamic belaying" In short, I want the simplest system possible and I want to fiddle less with gear and feel "free" in my "free climbing". Therefore the best solution is to use Beal ropes: they stretch a lot and you get a soft enough catch with no cons at all. No better solution in existence. Screamers are yet to be proven useful when placed in a LRS anchor. Also, as you foresee, if you work a route you cannot blow 10 of them on one session. Their use makes sense when used directly on a piece, if you do trad.

Clearly I missed that. Thanks for the info👌
