According to Nathaniel Bandy if no one else figured it out. The first time Bowser grows giant for the final battle is Super Mario Sunshine, then next, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, then Super Mario Galaxy 2 (Bowser was giant for most of the game, but he grows even bigger after faking his death in the final battle), then New Super Mario Bros. 2, and finally, this: New Super Mario Bros. U. That is a total of five times when Bowser grows giant for the final battle.

I think this is the most intense New Super Mario Bros series battle. Instead of avoidance with giant size you get to stand and fight! Although in Mario and Luigi Dream Team, the battle with the last giant boss (Bowser) was intense. When you defeat him in there, he's not a giant anymore. HE BECOMES A COLOSSUS!!!
