I feel like a lot of the low clear rate of actual players that try this is simply that it utilizes a lot of game mechanics that a basic player would not know is possible. On top of that, some parts do need a pretty decent amount of precision that your basic player does not have. I do not think this level deserves such a low clear rate. As for the 100 people played to about 8,000,000 deaths, I really have no explanation. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, so I would probably chalk it up to either a glitch or some person that is not the owner intentionally padding the deaths by continuously dying.

Honestly, I'd say that it's just 4/166. My reasoning for this is that "8008135" is leet speak for "boobies". Someone likely manipulated the completion rate as a joke and changed it to this. 4/166 is reasonable, coming out at 0.02409638554. That is a rather reasonable completion rate for a level like this. Especially considering that it has such a low amount of people who would've played it. Was likely a guy who shared it with his friends who aren't that great at the game.

It isn't somebody constantly killing themelf. Every restart is ~5 seconds. 1 million seconds is 11 days. It would have to be 55 days for each restart, which is almost two months. If it is 55 x 8 days of restarts, that would be a total of 440 days, which not even the game has been out for that long. Even if everybody who played this(Which is 80) all killed themselves constantly, it would be 55 days, which the level has been around that long, but I'm over 100% sure that it isn't the case.

Have some more math. If you pause the video at the level preview, you can see that only 103 people have played it. With 8008301 attempts, that means each of those 103 players made an average of 77500 attempts, which means that each of those people played the level for about 4 and a half days at least, if the number of attempts were legitimate

As a seasoned Mario player that does look pretty hard, but nothing too horrible. Honestly it looks easier than 8-3 and 8-4 from Lost Levels, World 8 Fortress from Mario 3, and the Cheese Bridge Secret Exit in Super Mario World.

This isn't the hardest Mario level. You can beat it on pretty normal gameplay. There are insanely difficult Mario levels around. Check "Mario Must Die", where Bowser teams up with Hitler and Satan to finally get rid of Mario.
