The funniest part about this is the fact that he can be a brainless douchebag for the next couple of years and when he feels satisfied with the amount of money gathered through out the years he can then drop the mask and do something constructive/at least more mature, gaining a big momentum, mostly because people consider him changed and worthful of redemption without knowing if this was just a mask or not...It truly intrigues me the way youtube shapes out personalities and sometimes I do wonder how's the game gonna evolve in the next couple of years.

But at what cost though ? Is all the hate really not affecting these people ? If he really is trying to be as "douchy" and clickable as possible, doesn't he feel like he is losing major time and energy building up that persona ? For example - Celebs and products Kanye with Yeezy, Rhianna with Fendi, Dre with Beats, Paris Hilton with her brand, Kim Kardashian with her brand. Let's be real here. Companies have approached each one of them and made a pitch. They might have a creative input here or there but in terms of product development, design, marketing etc. they do sweet f*ck all. Yet their considered as "genius" or "marketing genius". Like this video and Jake Paul. Do i admire what he's achieved here? Of-course and fair play to him. Fair play to all these tik tokers, only fan chicks, social influencer and so on. Make your buck. But he's not a genius for it. He simply has the finance, fanbase and the ability to gain attention. His following was based on the premise of him being an idiot. Guess what? Children are impressionable and they loved his content. That was literally his and his brother's brand. It ultimately comes down to our consumption and obsession with celeb culture. What significant impact have they made to warrant such respect compared to those names I mentioned earlier?

To address the very last question/statement, I don't think Jake has his sights set on reviving his KZbin channel. I won't lie, I went from not being bothered by Jake to liking him because of his mind and how he maneuvers "the game". And having followed his media coverage, be it in the ring or on Impaulsive or IG, he seems to be more focused on diving deeper into mainstream media, such as Football (he's stated). I would say that his KZbin channel is now just that entity he brings along with him, sort of like a diary to document big highlight parts of his life, but nothing more. Just found your channel and have really enjoyed doing a 2 hour binge. To answer your question, in deference to boxing and my almost 2 decades of boxing and now coaching, Jake Paul's level of talent would fall somewhere between a Police Athletic League competitor and a Golden Gloves entrant. He has the rudimentary skills of someone who has been training for a year but is technically not very sound. His movement is stiff and flat footed and his "defense" (using that term lightly) is what would be called entry level orthodox with a bit of Shell. I could pick out at least two dozen Cruiserweight guys/kids from my small gym outside NYC that would just embarrass him. I genuinely believe the usually dubious Dillin Danis about a "NO KNOCKOUT CLAUSE" being part of the Paul's contracts based upon what i have seen. What we would call "70% sparring" Great channel. I have learned more about pop culture than i have ever wanted

In the past two years I figured out Jake and Logan are 2 different people. I hate them both equally lol.

I’m a huge UFC fan, and I just want you to know that Connor McGregor is one of the most controversial figures in all of professional hand to hand combat and up there when it comes to all sports. The guy can’t stay away from controversy. Just thought you should know. Jake’s lame controversially doesn’t even compare to the moronic stuff Connor has done and especially said.

Badly copying a played out formula doesn't make you a genius, nor does falling over and not spilling your beer but it still gets a round of applause at the pub.

Great video! And perfect breakdown. He's a clown who hasn't matured but he's figured out how to monetize it. Basically embracing being the bad guy. So his inability to "grow up" works in his favor.

There is a reason everyone remembers Joffrey. In a sea of milk toast influencers who are identical, a burnt toast is pretty interesting. Being a Villain has it's perks and drawbacks. Go be a hero in the influencer world, you will fade into the background. The internet already has it's great heroes, what it craves is a bad guy.

The only jake Paul video I’ve watched is it’s everyday bro as it’s the only video short enough my brain didn’t melt

in a way, it really goes to show that there is no such thing as bad publicity. he knows that no matter how much he is hated, it still keeps getting him media attention and unless he does something that would be beyond reprehensible (murder, pedophilia, rape, etc), being the "bad boy of youtube" still helps give him an image that will continue to make him shitloads of money

The fact that I have never heard about his songs and now I’m going to check out just shows how effect his strategy is

The thing is that if Jake Paul started making his original videos today, his fame couldn't exist in the current KZbin landscape

The whole being insufferable and douchy thing is really a big act. When he was first growing on youtube I met him on the set of Bizardvark and he seemed like an alright guy to me.

I dunno I still think their connections from when they were kids on Disney helped them through. They definetly know people at youtube or in marketing.

The hardest thing to do is evolve in the spotlight. You're known for X, so the moment X is not popular anymore or played out, you become irrelevant. Both Paul brothers successfully & seamlessly transitioned from viners, to vloggers, to boxers/podcasters, etc. 99% of other media stars burn out in 2-5 years because their schtick gets old or what they do dies (pranking, vlogging, reaction vids, fake content, formulaic content, etc.). Honestly how can you hate them? They're genius marketers, can turn anything into promo/hype/money, are still so young, & are steadily growing up. "Oh they're such douche bags" bro Jake is what, still only 24? I cringe at things I did at 28 lol

you'll start to like him once you realize that he is playing a character when he is on his own channel or page. people always say that jake paul is likeable when he appears on someone else's video like on logan paul's vlog.
