This is for the wonderful Luniae, who won the bid for my VU auction! For those of you unfamiliar with ViddersUnited (VU), it was a charity event that vidders hosted, where items were up for auction/buying. I had colourings, YPIVs, and vidlets up for grabs.
Luniae and I discussed many options, and in the end, we settled on this concept as one of the videos. I wanted to edit Draco and Hermione to this song some years ago now (the lyrics are just on point), so when the song was brought up in regards to them, the inspiration just clicked!
Working on this project was a challenge, but it was really fun. I got to renew some five-year-old manips and dust off my Dramione and Drarry days. I really didn't think I'd be editing Dramione ever again, since I don't really care for them much outside the fic realm, but I'm really glad I did. I think this video turned out pretty solid!
This isn't the only video that Luniae will be receiving, but I think the rest will be for private viewing. (Or, at least, take a while to go public, like this one.) I just wanted to give her a huge thank you for donating so much on behalf of my channel. I definitely think more than one video is well deserved! Editing this was a pleasure and I'm even more excited for the other one I'm working on!

I love his character !! And he had a great chance like regulus black for a amazing redemption arc, I mean he does get a redemption but it’s not very. Satisfying as it’s supposed to be!! So that's why this so accurate video turned out to be the prequel of the whole saga😃 and that is why Draco "hates" Hermione. I always thought Hermione was protecting Draco when Harry thought he was a Death Eater. There is also the scene where he is attacked by the Hippogriff and she cries out to Hagrid worried that Draco must be taken to the infirmary. And especially when Hermione smells the potion: cut grass and mint. I’d say it’s more Draco than Ron😍

If you can't do it, than that's totally fine with me. Dramione is a great ship. Some people think it would have been toxic if it was cannon, which I think is ridiculous. This video is absolutely perfect. I never used to be a Dramione shipper but now I am and I’m obsessed with these two. I definitely think these two could’ve had an interesting dynamic. I always thought that Draco secretly had feelings for Hermione but he couldn’t act on them because of his parents, particularly his father. His father was quite hard on him. They’re pure-blood so they prefer to be with others who are the same and have the same bloodline. Hermione was a Muggle-born and his family never would’ve accepted her or approved of their relationship if they started dating. It’s a reason why he always came off as mean to her. I don’t think Draco meant to come off as mean to Hermione but it was the only way for him to cover up his feelings for her. I mean it still doesn’t give him an excuse to call her a very offensive term but again I don’t think he meant to have it come off that way but it did. It also looks to me that he was always jealous of Harry and Ron because they got close to Hermione and became very good friends with her but he couldn’t. In the sixth movie, she started noticing something was up with him and she was the only one I think. It would’ve been interesting if their dynamic built front there. She sees him vulnerable in the boys’ bathroom and comforts him and from there, he slowly starts to warm up and open up to her where he no longer calls her names when he sees her at school and secretly apologizes to her. I wish instead of Draco always being mean to Hermione when we saw them together that he instead would be nice. I think they could’ve had a lot of potential of becoming a couple or even close friends. As well as seeing how vulnerable and sad Draco was and it would help build their friendship and later their relationship. But J.K. Rowling wasted this opportunity. Even if they didn’t become a couple, at least if they were close friends, it’ll be nice to see. There’ll be development. I don’t know why she never considered it.

My absolute FAVOURITE ship trope is enemies to lovers generally so I very Clearly see and understand the love for Dramoine even though I wholeheartedly ship Romoine. I read part of a Dramoine fic once out of that curiousity when I was little. It's definitely art like this that makes me wonder of what could-have-been.
