If the AC current is constantly alternating back and forth equally through the black and white wires on the CT (both ends of it's coil), how does it know if it's facing up or down? Shouldn't it give the same measurement in both directions?

our sunpower installer installed our cts incorrectly and we have like 10 cases with sunpower, but nothign has been done yet.

I had the same issue. The installer totally had no idea about how CT works. They just clamped the sensors regardless of the actual setup or readings😡

Mine was Installed backwards by the dealer and was showing opposite data... they fixed it after 4 mos of troubleshooting. had to come back and do some other work and my home shows no usage/consumption on the sunpower app. Not happy I have had to spend soo much time dealing with constant calls to sunpower support only to have a different issue everytime the installer company.. HELP PLEASE

I’m showing 44kw home usage and 7kw solar. No way am I using 44 kw every time I check the app. Would the CTs installed wrong be the reason this is incorrect?

My system got installed recently and I got the same excuse that CTs are not compatible with my main panel and I need to upgrade my main panel. After watching this video I feel that is an excuse

@@niroopradhakrishnan6475 yeah I bought off eBay and did it myself. It wasn’t hard but SunPower or a dealer needs to enable it once the hardware is installed

@@benpepa Install looks super easy. How difficult was the feature enabling process? My system reports production now. Any particular syntax that will make the request easier?
