I have a vast respect for the Gaan and what they reprisent to The Apache, not to mention Humanity. I also value the traditons in place. However, I was separated from my 'indian' heritage at a young age; and the more I travel the wold, the more I am proud to be of this rare and tenacious blood that is a part of me. I'm just glad that to have this resource, otherwise I could have been left in ignorace toward my own people.

It's not about getting permission. If you had a deep faith and belief in the gaan be chu, then you would understand the SACREDNESS of the Gaan to the Apache People. They are not here for show, they are spirits that should not be recorded. The evil and prayers they were suppose to take back to god are now kept here on earth forever and will not be answered.
