Sunscape Coco Punta Cana Dominican Republic - Beach, Food, Kids Club, my favorite: The Waterslides

Be live was our go to for the past decade. Not the best but we knew what to expect. We actually had our wedding there. We're headed to Punta Cana in December and have been resort shopping since it closed. I only just learned it reopened as sunscape Coco. How did the food at the buffet compare to when it was be live? Honestly it didn't look that great in the video so I don't have high hopes but maybe it tasted better than it looked. That was always a bit of a sticking point for us (though the a la cartes we generally ok) along with the seaweed on the beach which was excessive during the winter months. Seems like the beach upkeep is a bit better now. Also hoping they did some major room upgrades since some of them were pretty rough but obviously with a day pass you wouldn't have been able to assess that. Thanks!

I also know the resort as Belive and Globalia, and at the very beginning it also was a Sunscape. I have never been a big fan of the food, in this resort under what ever name. Not now and not then. BUT i have only been to the main buffet . I can not talk about the other restaurants.

How does the beach at this resort compare to the majestic colonial beach?

Definitely more quiet and less waves. I am a fan of the Arena Gorda Beach but I know also Cabeza de Toro has lots of fans.

How was the resort overall. Good and bad points?

@@28g34 The renovated Part looked very nice, the swim up's behind the Waterslides. The Kids Club is big, the kids pool doesn't have enough shade. Food at the Buffet was nothing to write home about. The CoCo Caffee was good. Have in mind I have only been for a day pass. The Beach in Cabeza De Toro 'feels" different if that makes any sense. Personally I like Playa Bavaro and Arena Gorda better. Hope that helps.

is there 2 airport in punta cana? I heard in another video that it was 1 hour from the airport im confused now 🥲

Until now we only have one Punta Cana airport. Maybe they where talking about the other Sunscape in Bayahibe? Or someone in traffic? It's only 16 KM . from Airport to Sunscape Coco. Check google maps.
