I was exhausted just watching you struggle around the confines of that engine room, and you've seen plenty of more spacious ones in your time. But my main concern was the gap in the safety rail when the sunpad was in the raised position, certainly large enough for a child to fall through whilst on the sunpad with mum or dad. Why did they not use the second folded section to close that gap ?
@markszulc1182

Hi Hugo - Lovely yacht, but the engine room does seem very cramped. I went back and looked at Aquaholic tours of Princesses and Sunseekers of this range and they all had very similar engine room layouts that seems much more "GetAtAble" than this one. Lovely boat in many ways, but I can't help feeling that Sunseeker are just catching up with the Italian brands rather than forging ahead; some new boats from Mangusta, Azimut, etc, this year will be pushing further ahead. I'd love to buy British, but where are the next generation environmentally friendly engine options from UK companies? - it's a huge growth area that Sunseeker and Princess need to invest in and get ahead of the competition.

It's an interesting size and config, many good qualities but particular the boxes built on the windows in the cabin encroach on the room and gives an imprisoning sensation, especially with the blinds. Without being impolite I'd like to emphasize how vital that is to redesign immediately. Keeping the passenger from enjoying the view is at odds with obvious values of yachts. I'm not yet in the market for this price range of boat but at any price level, that design alone would be a deal breaker. The sensation from the cabin windows is all important, both size and unfettered. The cabin windows on the this boat could stand to be a fair bit larger but that added frame weighs it down tremendously. You may also want to avoid the brown beige palette but I assume that's an option. The round porthole inserts with thick bezel is another significant obstruction to the view. Why not let the full window open in for instance the bathrooms where the window is already fairly small. That way it can serve as escape hatch and reduce a claustrophobic sense. Particularly in the crew quarters the porthole filling almost the entire window is an obvious invitation to rethink a few things. I like the open galley layout, I would even pursue open to the bridge and to that end maybe consider if a captain needs such a wide room to pilot the ship or if that could be much smaller. Blocking off the entire front of the main deck is quite the sacrifice if it could be done another way. A door forward to the foredeck I think would further enhance the open living sensation. Galleon has that in one model and it seems like an obvious barrier to break. Could even do away with the side decks entirely.
