I'm SO glad I found someone that almost shares the same opinion I have on Forces' OST lol There were only 4 tracks I liked in Forces and THREE of them are vocal themes: Fighting Onward Fist Bump Infinite Final Judgement: Reactor Core This was not one of them but the cover on this makes it listenable to me. That's what I like about this one.

If there's anything I've learned about Forces, it's that the Composers created a great soundtrack, but made some really poor choices in regards to the instrumentation. Remixes using the same arrangement, but different sounding instruments can make the same songs sound much better. Turret 3471's remixes of the classic Sonic tracks really prove this. His Ghost Town, Faded Hills, and Casino Forest remixes being the best examples of this.

I'm doing a 365 Days of Music challenge, and I selected this for Day 245! I like to write something for each of them, so here's what I wrote for this one: **Day 245:** "Sunset Heights + Jun Senoue guitars" One of the better tracks from Sonic Forces kicked up a notch! I love the electric guitar style of Jun Senoue, so finding this channel was a dream come true for me! This artist is super faithful to Senoue's style and sound. Before this point, he mostly played guitar over existing tracks, but now he's starting to create arrangements from scratch. It's awesome to see how he's growing in such a short time! The arrangement overall is pretty faithful to the original, with a little bit of Eternal Engine from Sonic Adventure 2 thrown in (which I've considered adding to this list before! Two birds, one stone!). While the main focus is, obviously, the guitars, I adore how the synth lead is handled here. I love the subtle harmony added at 0:45; it adds more complexity to an area that I feel was a bit too empty in the original. A similar strategy is used at 1:37, though I feel the harmony is a lot more noticeable here. Perhaps it's also due to Eternal Engine getting featured, but the track just sounds more soulful now. The cymbals at 1:37 add to this too. Good luck sitting still to this one! There's just so much energy and emotion in this track. Sonic Guitars definitely poured his heart out on this one, and it shows.

These kind of covers make it really obvious that the actual songs themselves aren't all too shabby by Sonic standards. They're not the greatest, by any means, but they're not bad either. It was really the strange choice to make an ear-bleeding synth the main instrument, and most of the backup instruments being variations of that synth, that seem to break the arrangement.

maybe its just familiarity and nostaliga talking but these instruments and style fit so well. i loved sunset heights melody so much (it reminded me of frog forest a little) but the synth held it back imo. while id personally tweak this version to remove whatever the higher pitched instrument is (forigve my lack of music understanding) youve added so much and i love this remix.

You took one of my favorite tracks from Sonic Forces and dialed it up to an 11! The new heightened energy the guitar provides flows through this song so well. Also, I didn't realize the similar beats that could be heard in the final story of SA2. Keep rocking on dude! I can't wait to see what you do with Frontiers once a full track drops!

This soundtrack could've been so much more if it even just had a few adjustments to instrumentation. I really wish the soundtracks would stay away from EDM and synth heavy mess. Rock is a core part of Sonic's post Adventure identity and I wish they incorporated it more often. Great work! That Eternal Engine bit was genius
