Hard to learn for beginners, and barriers of entry like, needing a specific shoe size and fit. Unlike bikes and scooters or skateboards, your friend can easily try it out, unlike my boots that are just too small for my friends to try 😢

There seems to be a following in large cities. Where I live is very rural. I commute 45 min for a proper urban skate in a small city. Never seen another blader but some people on boards.
