It’d be so good to find any of the three girls who were in this after all this time. Not just because they were cute (which they all were, exceptionally), but the choreography, especially for the first half, is just so much fun. There are other “sexier” videos, but none with moves so creative as this - I.e. using the steps to tell a little story rather than just twerking around for the sake of it, as is the fashion now. I just think it’s kind of delightful (even if the song was sampled to breaking point).

Look at ANY vintage video on YT or any other social media and you find comment sections LOADED with people proclaiming how pure and untouched “their” teens and 20-something years were, without an ounce of irony, which is sad because EVERY SINGLE THING these people claim is wrong with the world today EXISTED BACK THEN, whether it was the 1940’s, 1970’s, 00’s, you name it. Real life has ALWAYS been dark, nasty, politicized, and full of loathsome people doing loathsome things. Young people ALWAYS choose to ignore this because life’s one big dance party and mommy and daddy pay the bills. But then they wake up, smell the coffee, and race to KZbin looking for validation that things were simpler during their formative years. It’s all so predictable, generation after generation.

@@Coolestmovies I politely disagree. I talk about the 90s and early 00s with my mum when I go visit and she feels exactly the same as me. She's nearly 30 years older than me, yet she enjoyed the music of my era but also noticed the massive change around the turn of the millennium. It's been a steady decline since then. Every era craves their youth era, but I don't think it's ever diverged as much as this before. My parents could recognise quality from my era despite enjoying their own era, I can't recognise much of any quality now and I'm not even that old! Music, movies, the way we treat each other, they've all gone backwards in my opinion. KZbin does make it worse, as you can see how far backwards it's all gone!

Personally, I love both versions of this awesome song equally. While this one retains the samples from the original version and received a lot of airplay, I also love the re-recorded vocals on Cabin Crew's version as well :-)

Fun fact: Cabin Crew remixed it first, but SonyBMG who owned the rights to the original Boy Meets Girls song wouldn't allow them to use the sample. Instead, SonyBMG hired Sunset Strippers to remix the song. When George Merrill (the Boy Meets Girl singer) heard Cabin Crew's version he re-recorded the vocals making it possible for Cabin Crew to release their version.
