It was blatantly obvious that I wasn't the only one at Rifflandia who bought my ticket largely for the Reggie Watts experience. Into a festival that was already mind-blowing on so many levels stepped the ever-wacky, courageous and brilliant Reggie Watts - and here it is!
I have one apology to you our viewers - my battery died right BEFORE Reggie dropped his improvised Canada song, which was very excellent - sorry I missed that part! Fortunately, someone else grabbed only THAT part! Ying & yang.. check it after this video!

My dad is almost 70, and he knows who Reggie Watts is from Conan, and he thinks he's just groovy, especially for a mainstream performer. I'm as big a fan as they come, but at 17:30, Reggie was on the edge of something huge that he backed off of around a minute later...back to the 808 beat boxing and schtick. Love everything he does - a seminal genius. But just goes to show that even the best of us back away from the unknown at times - revert to that which is comfortable -because the risk might be too great. The chasm too wide or the energy required just too much.
