Mom and Dad would go to Wheeling many times to hearbthe Sunshine Boys. I remember them from my childhood.

Daddy and Mama were tremendous fans of the Sunshine Boys. We traveled all over eastern NC following them, loving their music, buying their records. They are the group that nurtured my love for gospel music, especially quartets! I still have all those 45 records and truly treasure them. Later J. D. Sumner & The Stamps Quartet also sang with Elvis and that thrilled me even more!

I was blessed to be Ace's pastor the last few years of his life. He loved music and singing! Such great times sitting in his home listening as he reminisced about his life in music!

Fantastic!! I grew up listening to them on the radio, never saw them as a group in person. I'm almost 70 now and this brings back beautiful memories.

You thought the Jordanaires and Oak Ridge Boys went secular music first. Wrong. JD did it in the 40's.
