Julianna your fortitude at the end of the 2nd period mentally and physically was excellent. The 3rd period when your coach asked for the hard lift, work on that move to force your opponents balance to be lost, followed by your forward advance to turn her to her back. You were just THAT close to getting back points (you went out of bounds). Mariah has that move mastered, with the additional hooking of the leg with hers, forcing her opponent to the mat. Keep watching the videos and learn. Great growth mentally and physically girl!! Great job coach!

Ok, it's time for a few observations from this event. 1. The content of the video is simply amazing. This, like all your videos, is so well put together and edited that it looks like it was done by ESPN or similar. Great job creating really professional material. 2. Seeing Juliana on the podium with that incredible smile as she was about to accept her runner-up medal just made me smile wide. But seeing the young lady that defeated her was even more satisfying. The 1st place winner looked over at Juliana and said to herself "enjoy this because this is the last time I will ever beat this girl and I am mighty lucky that I did. I am in trouble the next time we wrestle." 3. During Juliana's 2nd match I saw the moment where she realized that she is good, very good. It was that click we hear in our head when we suddenly go from one level of ability to a new level that's far above where our amount of skill, confidence, and self awareness was at the beginning of the day. She will never be the same again. Juliana began the day as a pretty good wrestler but she ended the day with a whole new outlook on the sport and her ability to be the feared one in her weight class. This is only January of her Freshman year so just imagine the future. Make room on the awards shelf at home young lady. 4. Christina is a beast. I mean that in a very complimentary way. Spencer Lee in a green singlet comes to mind. The girl is scary good. 5. Mariah.........ah Mariah, you are such an amazing wrestler. The only thing I can add is keep going and continue to make your family proud and keep spreading Sunshine. You all are beautiful and I am thankful to even know you a little bit. Congratulations to the entire FPC girls team on another huge victory. Six champs - give the rest of the state a break! Until next time - Seabreeze Dave
