I have never made soap like this, first of all, I don't measure my ingredients by volume, everything is run through the soapcalc. and measured in percentage according to the law here. I can see that this is a Hot Process method that you just showed us, well done👍👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

No need to hydrometer is need. If you SG cup that ie enough. Just measure the distilled water in SG cup it should be 1. Then you SG of the sample.

Stearic acid helps soaps to produce foam very well...it also helps the skin retain moisture
