Thank you for sharing your knowledge Would like to know what all activities I could plan for my 18months plus boy to include few activities in house to have more engagement. As I won't believing in giving him cell phone or games or TV as engagement material.

Vaishali Works sis, you've decided well not to give a mobile to your child as PLAYING WITH MOBILE BEFORE THE AGE OF 10 IS DANGEROUS FOR THEIR BRAIN.. Educational psychology says," if you want to make your child A BOOK LOVER, start reading books in the house so that your child can develop the reading habit by observing you. Never ask him to read , but let him choose it himself...let him play with the book, no matter if he is holding it upsidedown. let him enjoy the pictures or colours or pronouncing words wrongly, don't interrupt him so that he can take it as a hobby, NOT a COMPULSION... in short provide him with the environment, what you want your child to become in his future as THEY LEARN NOT FROM YOUR WORDS, BUT WATCHING YOUR ACTIONS.. hope you don't mind my suggestions

I do not like this approach! This is not teaching the the skills they need for school or life! I laugh but find this very alarming. None of this is preparing them for the work environment unless they are going to be a homemaker or work in food services.! LOL This does not prepare children for real life in the workforce! And todays children are much smarter than this! I've seen a 3 year old who has mastered a tablet. Montessori schools need to step in the 21st century! This approach seems to focuses mainly on concrete practical skills that children develop individually (in isolation). While these skills are important, imaginative and collaborative play is equally as important to develop the 21st-century skills children need now more than ever. One limitation of this method is that it is not well-suited to all children. Because the approach is based on the idea that children are innately curious and motivated to learn. It may not be effective for children who are shy, struggling or who have special needs. These children may require more structured and individualized instruction in order to be successful.

Love this. Thx for sharing. I have some practical questions, hope you could help: - how do you introduce the routines/ how to behave? - how do you deal with a child who doesn't want to engage with any activity or clean up? - how do you deal with a child who excited to do one activity and suddenly loss his/her interest in the middle of his/her work and refuse to finish his/her work ? Thank you in advance!
@SunshineTeachersTraining3 жыл бұрын
Hi - thank you for watching. I would suggest introducing new routines only 1 thing at a time. Its nice to have a discussion about what you are introducing and WHY you are introducing it. When a child does not want to engage in an activity, do not force them. Try and see where their interests lie and then create activities around that. Do they like cars? Make an activity that involves cars. With cleaning up, its a good idea to have a limit - if you do no tidy up you will not be able to use these toys again. If a child loses interest, it's ok. Maybe they don't have the mood today. Try again another time,
@joyballs88872 жыл бұрын
Hi! Isn’t not being able to use toys again if they don’t tidy up a punishment? What are concrete examples on how we can encourage self-motivation among students? Are praises considered extrinsic reward? If yes, how will we let the students know that they did a good job? Thank you so much! I love your video, very straightforward yet informative!

Montessori and Froebel both believed ha children need to have an environment especially prepared for them to be able to explore and learn. Montessori was inspired by some of the 'toys' that Froebel created o support his philosophy. Both believed in a very hands-on approach to learning. And in both philosophies the toys/materials/learning materials play a. very important part of the child's learning. I hope this helps.

How many hours long are Montessori schools? Do they have a specific schedule or are you exploring for the whole time?
@SunshineTeachersTraining3 жыл бұрын
Hello Lea...In a Montessori 3-6 years classroom, children explore and work independently on the materials with the guidance of knowledgeable Montessori directress for 3 hours. Montessori talks about her '3-hour work cycle' and why it is necessary for them. Some schools may introduce children to additional schedules before or after this 3-hour work cycle. Example, a circle time activity before and maybe some additional activities for older children after class. Hope this helps :)

Please note that I am looking for the Holistic development of the child, not just academics. My kids are twins - The age is 5 years 8 months.
@SunshineTeachersTraining3 жыл бұрын
Hi Ram, if you are looking for an education method that focuses on the holistic development of the child, Montessori is the best choice for you. Montessori method, with its amazing philosophy and principles, was developed based on scientific research on the development of the children. The five main areas in Montessori curriculum and the way children learn in Montessori environment amazingly fulfill their development needs holistically, such as spiritual, language, emotional, intellectual, and social development. Another thing that makes Montessori stand out from other education methods are the self-paced learning. The children become the leaders of their own learning journey. They are allowed to follow their 'inner teacher' and become the best version of themselves. They are allowed to be unique! :) The role of the adults here is to nurture the children so they can reach their full potential. There are so many things about Montessori that we can barely find in other education methods. If you want to know more and learn how to support your children with Montessori education, do not hesitate to contact us :) sunshineteacherstraining.id/about-us/contact/

Hi Sana... The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is a play-based curriculum for children from birth to five years, which allows children to explore and learn in an environment that is secure and safe, yet challenging. Montessori has its own philosophy and materials for children in their early years. It is more structured and we follow a 3 hour work cycle. Children 3-6 years are in the same classroom (we call this vertical grouping). And ... there are many more differences.
