And curiously another author made the comic where Phoenix defends Mario, and it has a curious easter egg, which consists that Phoenix uses a vest instead of his traditional coat, appealing that Mario uses a shirt with short sleeves due the heat from the island

Shadow mario: completely blue, red eyes, using a big paint brush, has long tongue. "Normal" mario: dates princess peach/toadstool, defeated bowser, has normal clothes, saved the mushroom kingdom. Everyone except peach, toadsworth and Luigi: hmm... i think they both look exactly the same.
