I do think they started angling him as a defense option. Honestly ive always thought bots should have a defense variant of their abilities because really, everyone uses the same 10 bots. Very little is actually threatening now, Twintwist is destroyed by Punch and now Beachcomber counters him too. I think its a good thing to have OP heavy bots and Beach shows that it can be very hard to balance a bot for both. Id rather see an occasional bot be crazy good on op but bad at war rather than mid at all or good at war and bad at op. Of course Beach may not be that either but if he is, it will be nice to see SOMETHING new coming out of an op for the first time since Twist. Defense really needs more love at a core level, outside of hard mode fluff.

Now, in retrospect, reading your comment a month later every single 5* deluge/comber that was got is currently in a out post now. It will be very, very common when he hits Legacy. Definitely something new to see actually pretty op as they come, people using him like Blot in a way 61k maxed at captin on prime wars on hard...probably now the hardest bot in the game to kill now
