Nice review as always! This is a cool-looking figure with some fun accessories. I've been cherry-picking with Ultimates; I only wanted my (un)Holy Trinity of CC, Destro, and Baroness (dark grey suit). As far as the episode-specific accessories, the references are to "Countdown for Zartan," in which Zartan poses as some kind of French doctor (or politician? Idk fs) named Mettier I believe. He's wearing the digital watch with timer to keep track of the bomb (the included accessory) that he has placed in... the U.N. building I think... Anyway, the digital watch is pivotal to the plot as it helps them identify Zartan as an imposter, and after the Joes put him in a cell in the same building, they leave the watch/timer hanging within view of his cell to scare him into revealing where he placed the bomb before it goes off and kills him too. Idk how accurate all this info is, but that's what my "encyclopedia" recalls. Keep up the good work! Cheers!

Decent figure, love the vintage-accurate color change feature, but the little QC issues on these figures are likely a big part of why the line has seemingly been canceled now. Most fans just aren't willing to pay a premium for subpar figures.

The line hasn't been canceled, but it will be interesting to see what happens. The last time a wave failed to meet minimum orders was the Disney Rescuers wave. Between that and the difficulty of dealing with Disney, Super 7 terminated the relationship (there were other factors involved that I'm mot clear on). Hasbro isn't nearly as difficult a partner as Disney and Joe has been very successful for Super 7. You have to wonder if they'll focus on the o-rings for the near future or try to rally with an alternate sixth wave of Ultimates. Or both.

@@NeedlessThings Oh, I had heard the next wave was cancelled for unknown reasons (repaint wave w/ Jaye and Scarlett), and presumably the line was now dead. Heard this from a guy who runs a collectible and ccg shop, so just assumed it was true. What I know is true, however, is the fan complaints about random qc issues, such as poor paint apps on the faces. I only ever got CC and Destro because I had seen some reviews on the unmasked, human characters, and there was a pretty stark difference between the promo shots and the final product, which didn't look too hot.

Yes, that wave was canceled due to not meeting its minimum order requirements. But the line has not been canceled.

Typically, the cartoons came after the toy designs. Not really fair to blame the toy manufacturers for that.
